Regarding teeth going bye bye - shoot for percocet. T3 doesn't count and Demoral does nasty things. And don't go overboard w/ the Percocet. At a certain point you won't get that much higher but you will puke. If you're going to over-do it, just take two pills instead of one.

Luckily it's only the 2 top ones so I'm hoping not to need too many pain killers since those are the easier ones to extract...

Are you getting them pulled or actually surgically extracted?

I ask b/c my wife had hers pulled, but I had to have mine cut out of my jaws b/c my wisdom teeth were impacted. Huge difference in pain level. If you get them pulled, you probably won't need much more than Advil - my wife didn't.

I was so high (and soon off to photography school) when I had mine out that the first thing I did when I came home was take a self portrait: completely strung out on whatever they loaded me up with (huuuge pupils), blood dripping down my chin and congealed onto my teeth, full-on Aphex Twin grin. That was a fun one.

You should have been there for the Curbside fixie ride in bike week. We had Andrew the redbull guy bring by 4x24 redbulls, chilled and free for the taking. I would usually never buy it, but I was tweaked for the next three days, as I continued to drink the spoils of the ride.

P.S Nerdsgirth - your avatar is scaring me.
Chauncy is scaring you? Just a puppet. Tame compared to sabertooth skull, hand from the crypt, and green gnome on all fours among others.... Drink the redbull and vodka, watch the first season of Wondershowzen straight, go for a ride, then tell me you are scared.

How were the sprints?

When I had my wisdoms taken out they were all badly impacted. I got put right under with I.V. (count backwards from 20, I think I made it to 12). I was expecting the worst but it really was not too bad. They gave me percocet but I barely needed em. I had em all pulled on a Friday and by Monday I was back to work with no pain. Good dental surgeons are worth the extra $. I do however remember half waking up in the middle of the procedure and the doc had his knee on my chest wrenching my head back and forth. Good times!

R.I.P. my XT rear derailleur, which exploded apart on me as I was sprinting out from between a cab and streetcar. The ****er really went out with a bang and almost took the rear wheel with it (plus obligatory complete lock-up of drivetrain w/ awkward crank position). At least my high speed cx dismounts are coming along nicely.

Edit: The best part was the streetcar driver getting out to let me know which way the wreckage flew in case I wanted to go back for it. That's cool, thanks man (at least the sentiment was nice).

That might not be a bad idea either.. Mike, you around on Monday? Ravenshoe is pretty CX friendly.
