Duppy, I saw you riding up York St yesterday. What's the deal with your helmet? Blue and white? You need a full on white helmet like this:

Well if Wes wants to come and drive then we could get prolly 6 of us up there. So far I have Myself, Bradyn and Jacques coming along. We can use the van for bikes and Wes's car for bodies. That would leave Brad, Wes and Mike for a full complement.

Sounds good to me.. If I get my rack on my car in time I can carry two bikes on the roof as well.

I took my car off the road... but I have 2 rooftop carriers (front wheel off) that fit yakima or thule racks if that helps at all.

Bikes: Menonite black urbanite, probably enough spare parts to make anther one.

what's the widest CX tire available? i want to use my orange cross bike off road a bit and i'm not a fan of running 700x28 on single track. for that matter, keith: how big a tire can you fit into that frame? i've got 37s in there now with fenders and lots of wiggle room.

29er tires fit on 700c wheels so the sky is the limit as far as tires that will fit yer wheels. Clearance? not sure...I never had more than 35mm on there.
I have an old 45c smoke lying around in the basement...you are welcome to try it and see what the clearance looks like

Spectrum Imaging.. check out the homepage. They go to the big events and take a few squillion images and then post them up. Such a 21st century business.. couldn't have made a profitable business out of that pre-digital cameras and internets!

Has anyone here ever seen silver/steel colored Sidi shoes? Are they hideous? There are pictures on the website, but it's hard to really make a judgment based on a jpeg.

The supplier I'm getting my shoes from (via orthotics people) only have the steel colored Genius 5's in my size, but they have black in the Genius 5.5's (which are $45 more for a slightly lighter shoe.. weight isn't really a big concern).

The Genius 5's don't look to bad in my opinion. I have Zeta's and I like that they are black and pretty plain, but the silver doesn't look too bad.

Not especially lighter I don't think.. but I'm not totally sure how much of a difference. They're also apparently stiffer. They say it's a carbon sole, but it's not full carbon.
