yeah i forgot about the back part and how hot they get, so she probably should not be around it ... she likes to sleep in the bathroom sink so i can always close the door while she is in there and get going, hah

haha. Or we've got some red sugino cranks if you want to give it that festive feel.

cavit8 01-06-08 06:03 PM

Brad, what size are the cranks?

I_bRAD 01-06-08 06:10 PM

I think 165 or 170. They're buried in the basement right now, but we'll be done fixin' the place up soon enough and I could pull them out and take a looksee.

cavit8 01-06-08 06:18 PM

BCD would be...?

I_bRAD 01-06-08 08:16 PM

not a clue! Sorry! They have smallish (42-40?) matching rings on them already though.

cavit8 01-06-08 10:32 PM

Let me know whenever you have a chance.

Those of you with kids might find this interesting (those of you who don't might find it interesting as well):

Thinking back, I had and made good use of a Swiss Army knife as a kid but obviously that wouldn't fly today. Maybe in a rural setting ... but a kid in a Toronto park flipping out a knife to whittle a bow and arrow set would probably have S.W.A.T. showing up.

Waits for the Canadian Shield to crack from Temperature differentials.

OK I'm looking around at Cross Bikes... does EVERYTHING have a flippin' integrated HS? Is this a conspiracy? Damn you Shamil for saying..."Empella", maybe I'll come back from Europe with a cross machine.

My Planet-X doesn't! :) I might be wrong, but I don't think the Kona frames do either. Ditto for Salsa, methinks.

TRaffic Jammer 01-07-08 10:57 AM

wow the prices for planet-x seem unreal ... how so Wes?

shapelike 01-07-08 11:24 AM

Just get a custom True North, built to your spec ... or my latest personal favourite:

somnambulant 01-07-08 11:25 AM

Yep, that's one of the reasons I went that route. Plus it has rack/fender eyelets, it's fairly light, heaps of clearance, and it has 135 spacing so I can use the wheels for a 29er too... so it's pretty versatile.

They have a North American distributor, the name of which totally escapes me right now. I ordered it sans fork and picked one up on ebay.

One of the Posters beneath the photo is right, a breaker would protect them, Also the circuit would be between right near the plugs them selfs, By the time Any juice got to them(water is not a good conductor contrary to popular belief In fact Pure H20 does not conduct at all) , At most they would get a slight zap.

That being Said who wants an electric Grill, gas or charcoal all the way

somnambulant 01-07-08 04:00 PM

I ain't criticizin'... they're drinkin' beers and grillin' meats in The Biggest Kiddie Pool In The World. Ultimately I'm kinda jealous. :)

Flimflam 01-07-08 06:43 PM

Don't think I'd want to play around with the water/pool idea, regardless of how theoretically safe it was or wasn't ;)

Listen, I'm trying to pretend that Yeti doesn't exist (ditto on the teal 575, even though I saw one in the flesh with Industry9 wheels at Cycle Solutions tonight along with Emma's hot pink one). I ask you kindly to refrain from posting any more Yeti pornography in this thread.

These wheels better be something else, cause you're pumped about them :D

FYI / too late - cycle solutions was having a 25% off sale on old inventory < 2008; I snagged me a Cinelli Alter stem.

Price: $27
