in the interest of keeping the conversation going, i would like to say that i like glazed, chocolate glazed, or those little donut hole/tidbit things and that although today feels mild compared to yesterday, i too would love a lazy sunday ride if it's going to be +7!

This coming from Mr Randonneur and hairshirt veteran. Am I gonna have to whip you back into shape? :)

Oh, whip me, whip me!!!

Donuts are good, perhaps I should be adding them to my lessons for the new year.

Anyways, tomorrow I'm going to get some coffee and a donut before hitting the spit for a ride around. 9:30 is good for me. I'm thinking ideal for the coffee. Any other ideas or suggestions.

hmmm I should have gotten those ... did they clear your email? Maybe one at a time? Gmail should allow for 10-20m attachments though....odd

kergin 01-04-08 06:31 PM

whut?

edit: I would like to say that I drafted something shapelike from Broadview all the way until it went north on Church (or was it Jarvis). He could not hear me; newly greased bearings and a clean drive train +1. Thanks for the draft, buddy :)

if you're still interested in riding on sunday i could be tempted to do a 'coffee and spit' ride...

I_bRAD 01-04-08 08:30 PM

I might be down for sunday too!

pyze-guy 01-04-08 09:26 PM

9:30 ish at ideal works for me.

kergin 01-04-08 10:22 PM

Err...I must be confused. Is this for Sunday? Also, where is Ideal?

I couldn't hear you, no, but I did know you were there (I saw too many shadows at one point and did a quick under-the-armpit check at Davies) and actually figured it was you. No one else slips in for a paceline on my commute home except Mr. Hub Overhaul. ;)

PS. "Something shapelike" then met up w/ someone on either a Flite 100 or an older Aero Track in the UoT campus. That one of you random thread lurkers?

Gas.Face 01-04-08 11:53 PM

check with curbside, last time i was there they had some sugino stuff

worst case you can order that bb online for around $30+shipping
I actually found a used FSA 103mm bb for $5 on the web. Im not too concerned about quality as its going on a crappy sparton track frame. If that doesn't pan out i'll definitely check Curbside and if worse comes to worse i'll just order the $30 one from Ebay. Thanks for all help guys.

Mine cost $26.40USD with USPS (from bicyclewheels.com) + $15.30 Canadian customs charges.

duppy.conqueror 01-05-08 08:01 AM

anyone going for a ride today?

in particular this morning?

Flimflam 01-05-08 08:05 AM

Bleh no, I think I've got strepthroat or something equally frustrating/********... I just want to swallow, damnit! (hehehehe, swallow) so I'm off to see the Doc.

Enjoy! :)

W3rd to that and Fankz!

Anyone want to do the hairshirt this year? I've never done it before, and would like to do the other half of the route I've taken to/from Niagara Falls.

I'm also planning this year on doing the Ride for Heart again, riding to the Falls again, and a in-a-day ride to Ottawa when the weather improves a bit. I'll be riding the Falls fixed, at one point for sure, there are a few questionable hills, but my buddy and I are going to go for the experience. I might try to film some of it :)

I'll be out in maybe 60-90 minutes, which will barely still be morning. :)

edit: speaking of which, is anyone up for some lunch? I've got a craving for several things.. nachos.. japanese.. dumplings.. I think I might be pregnant. :P

zippered 01-05-08 09:52 AM

hrm

well thankfully i don't have strep throat, mono, or any of the other nasty bugs that seem to be floating around (edit: feel better soon fil!)... but i don't know what to do today either.

i'm kinda relieved there's no trip to the track today though, cuz my freaking back has been freaking ****ed this last week so doing shoulder checks at high speeds doesn't seem like the greatest idea in the world right now.

*le sigh*

TRaffic Jammer 01-05-08 10:10 AM

Tam:

These are all 8x10's @ 300dpi, he'd be able to gang two images up on
an 11x17 for your prints. I'd just forward these off to your print
person. I love the riding off into the sunset pic.

A

no rides here, mine is still locked up at work. Nefew and sis-in-law are leaving today in the afternoon so we are hangin in mississauga with the fam....stuffing our faces of course. When is tentative tarck II?
