that looks like fun... i was tempted to try, but i'd hate to hold anyone back while i figured out how to ride fixed... also i'm not keen on falling, and i have a feeling that centrifugal force is harder to obtain than it looks (as demonstrated by the mess' race).

ps. brad = :bday:

:D Happy Birthday indeed, Brad!

Why does the velodrome require your own pedals? Ease of setup/comfort? I'd love to try the track sometime, too.

They don't.

:bday: Brad!!!

Is there a way to download pictures from Flickr? Every time I try I get a blank white screen with the filename "spaceball".

Thanks Rob. I can get the photo sets to come up with Flickr Leech, but I can't open individual photos...

Tam...I was kinda concerned about the no fixed experience as well but it really worked out nice and natural. I only had one little lapse in concentration and quickly came back. I'm pretty sure you're used to just pedaling for ages, well it's exactly the same.

zippered 12-23-07 09:03 PM

that's reasuring, thanks :)

i guess it can't be that much more difficult than:

I will send you any pic you want.

somnambulant 12-23-07 09:26 PM

You can't just right-click the image and save it? It works for me.

somnambulant 12-23-07 09:34 PM

I'm probably gonna go for a coffee 'n errands ride tomorrow morning if anyone wants to get together for a ride/gab.

Danhalen 12-23-07 09:49 PM

I think I'm going to take a ride to work tomorrow *grumble* :(

MattRennick 12-23-07 10:14 PM

i just put up a few photos, including some of wes' & mark's (this is me asking. hehehe) and you can definitely count me in for track 2... i'm sure erin will be down as well... we both had a fantastic time.

i finally bought myself a playstation as i was browsing the games isle surrounded by 12 year old boys i had this thought: would it be just too nerdy of me to buy a mountainbike video game?

i'm envious of all the trackies out there. looks like the christmas season started right for you folks. i personally took another spill on the streetcar tracks and am now bitter. just sayin.

MTB game yes!

Spill on tracks no :(

Hope you're OK.. I just got back in from a ride out east to a buddies place, lovely tailwind going, had some pretty shocking gusts on the way back though. Other than the patches of former rain/meltwater being iced over it was OK though, I just took it incredibly easy in places that looked iffy - having gone down Friday night I didn't want a repeat :)

+1 to track envy too :p

Happy Christmas Eve!
