Amazing!
Reading this today caused me to visit Mos' site today at work - I was surprised to see that he was putting out another record and unfortunately not surprised to hear that it sucks... Then I put on Black on Both sides and all was right with with the world. What the **** happened to this guy? Seriously! Black Star? Classic. Universal Magnetic? Classic. Black on Both Sides? Classic. The New Danger? Wackarnolds! True Magic? Wackarnolds! It's all down hill from here folks... |
3 in a row!!...

Alright...Pressures on...I need a single speed bike by Tuesday.
Budget $350 or under I want it to be fg/ss (flipflop), I kind of want it to be running 700c tires... Im leaving right away to DAL, and I need, really NEED something before I leave. Thanks! Private sales are great, even if you tell me who to call it would help. |
That is a pretty low budget, I've seen flip/flop wheelsets go for $200 on CL, a complete bike is going to be way more than that. Try Bikes on Wheels or Set Me Free, they sell used bikes, you might get lucky. I saw a converted Cannondale at Uncle Jacob's the other day and he wanted $600 for it....total ripoff but if even Uncle Jacob is getting into it, the trend must be getting big.
Maybe buy a road bike and convert it into a single speed? That is what I did with a nice old Shimano WH535 wheel that I found in a dumpster....buy and old roadie on CL and you can do it fairly cheaply/easily: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...z/Trip1041.jpg |

I loved Mos back in the day too and wish he didn't suck now but I have to say that amongst all of the rappers-turned-actors, he is by far the best. His turn in the Guide was pretty good and he was good in 16 Blocks as well and his new one looks to be very good and even though I cannot stand Jack Black, I think I will see this as I liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, who is the same guy who directs this:

brad, your dream bike is up for auction.
|
Neat. Way out of my budget at the moment though!
Looks like he had a bit of trouble sizing the chain and setting up the rear brakes! |

Weird, I rented Dazed and Confused tonight. I haven't seen it in ages and was blown away when I realized Ben Affleck is in it!

me so tired. I see a chocolate milkshake, an epsom salts filled bath, and a bunch of sweet couch time in my future.

I got an email from the news director in response to my critique of the ham-fisted news blurb about Charlie that mentioned the traffic delays as a result of the incident.
"Thank you for bringing this to my attention. First of all, I'd like to extend my condolences for the loss of this young man. He must have been really special, there have been an number of his friends and family writing me to comment on how his accident was presented. I have been working with all our broadcasters to keep in mind that although many people are affected when a crash happens, that when there are injuries and death, it is essential for us to be compassionate in our reporting. Although it may be hard to believe as a result of your experience, Craig Lester is a kind and considerate person. I think he lost sight for a time of the impact this kind of accident has. I've spoken with him, and other staffers about how to write about deaths in the future. Again, I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. " |
In a nutshell: Ok we told him to smarten up.
|
Well, that and hopefully reinforcing with their newsroom staff that there are actually people involved when reporting these things.

Anyone see Bikecar at the film fest? Great snowboard adventure film. I was grinning the whole hour away. The new Lucas Brunelle footie was also amazing.
Cavit8, thanks for following up on that. |
