No, on the Suntour Cyclones I tore off Sputter and brought into work today just so I wouldn't have to suffer through that on the new bike.

I kinda like Sherbourne actually. The only downside is my mouth is kinda dry after riding it, cause of all the loogies I have to hork on cars parked in the bike lane. I should just take a water pistol.

I can meet you guys in front of moonbean tomorrow at 1 and you can decide then. Or pick a place now, doesn't really matter.

Sherbourne

Sherbourne... my best friend lived across from the park, he passed away a few years ago from LC. I get wistful whenever I see his building. I don't try to avoid it but it not a route I cruise too too often.

Keith how was the race?

Fortunately my fingers are not as sore as the rest of my body so I can reply. It was a good time. Tons of icy sections with a liberal helping of muddy slop thrown in for good measure. I did the 25 km "short" course but it felt anything but short. Finished 20th out of 51 in my group. Happy with it as I haven't been on my bike for more than 30 mins since my last cross race in Oct. Speaking of which....I am gonna ***** slap the 40-49 age group in cross this year.......can't wait......Bwa-hahahahahaha.

PS. First "real" road bike ... my emotional state is currently "nervous excitement" ... hopefully I can do the bike justice.

Sweet looking bike man. This weather is making me want to put some serious miles on my road bike. Can't wait until the clocks roll forward next weekend.....

darkmother 03-27-06 08:56 AM

Ok, here's one for a Monday morning. Ready?

Where can I get my seat tube reamed?

Seriously.

TRaffic Jammer 03-27-06 09:05 AM

oooooh I think Keith was showing me his tool for just that not a week ago. :p

I was looking at that on Saturday.. very sexy. :D

Shiznaz 03-27-06 10:39 AM

biseagal does seat tube reaming and are the only people that do it to my recollection.

edit: somnambulant, what time do you get off work today?

TRaffic Jammer 03-27-06 10:41 AM

Indeed .... as it seems everywhere I go .... no one carries steel. "We can order something is all I hear".
I love the idea of being able to switch out the wheel set and go roadie, or off roady, and it seems the geometry is a little more laid back than the full on race frames. That and ever since messing in MTL I have never been 1000% with road brakes..... I know they are for adjusting speed but the reality being sometimes you REALLY need to STOP. :p

Myself and a bunch of my buddies go out for the whole Cross season. It's a good time.....very relaxed atmosphere. The 40-49 group does 40-50 minutes plus 1 lap so it is never an endless physical beating but a good workout. A majority of the events are less than an hour away. Most are sponsored by beer companies so there is almost always a cold one at the finish. Lots of time but if you ever want to come out let me know.....there is always room for one more

5:00. Same ****, different day. :)

PM me if you want to meet up. Your headset is at home, so I'll have to go there and pick it up. Or you could just come by there. Let me know what you want to do.

Seriously.

I will resist the obvious temptation and give you a straight (har har!) answer. Biseagal does it....Bicycle Specialties....La Bicicletta...Dukes (Phew!) and yours truly. Do you need a full reaming tho. There is reaming...usually for freshly built frames or damaged ones that need to go one size bigger in seatpost size. If it is just corrosion and crap that needs to be cleaned out...a flex hone is prolly the way to go. It is a long flexible drill attachment that has a bunch of abrasive knobs on it . Lube it up......insert it.....hone away the offending matter.
O.K. couldnt resist.
