I will take a brand new "Futura" Master Pista with all Campy Record and have several hundred bucks left over instead. Thanks for the opportunity tho. ;)
P.s. Wil has a Campy equipped Miele road bike he is trying to get rid of. 52cm square...$400. If anyone is interested. http://i19.tinypic.com/6nusiug.jpg http://i17.tinypic.com/6stbz0l.jpg http://i17.tinypic.com/833s8km.jpg |

Uh, in case it wasn't obvious, I am having a slow day today :) Also something I recently learned on this topic -- the whole "tryptophan in turkey makes you sleepy" thing is BS.. beef/chicken/pork has just as much (Wikipedia). Gorging yourself on fat/carbs -> sleepy after holiday meals. |

Thanks, I saw them but $200 seems a bit much for used ones. As Keith said, you'd really have to beat on a set of rollers to make them non-workable, so $100 or so seems about right. A new set at MEC is $225 but these ones are RED!
How about these? http://toronto.craigslist.ca/tor/bik/509537052.html |

Those are the same ones I have....albeit a few years older. I love how they are always "nearly new" or "used twice"...more like "I couldn't be bothered to learn how to ride em and now they are taking up needed space under my bed".

So, to sum it up, I will be on the subway carrying a heavy (are they heavy?) set of rollers home from Richmond Hill at 4:30pm on the second last Saturday before Christmas.

|
Today's the day to put the boots to the test. Going to Mississauga.
|
Well one of the uprights from my clip-on front fender fell off and right into my spokes. Luckily I was walking at the time. Still though ****! What a piece of crap. I think it may be time to resurrect the trusty Hot Wheels Track Fenders.
|

Went out to Mississauga,(hour plus a bit? didn't time it) I got a cold big toe on my left foot, and was completely dry!! These boots rock.
Rode west to Kipling, grabbed the streetcar, shot down the middle of Greenwood and then thrilled the kids on the toboggan hill with a short hill bomb. |

I've been riding my new (to me) rollers and they are fun so far. It is so much easier riding fixed on them though, it just seems more natural. And wow, does my cadence ever suck! Plus, I am so used to being in traffic that I never really get a chance to go for 10 minutes non-stop when in the streets, this is a great workout.
I am really looking forward to the crazy tobagganing that every Torontonian will no doubt be partaking in, there is a tonne of snow out there! |
a tonne of snow.. pfft. you Ontario lightweights. :P

I bow to you; FWIW, I was at La Bicicletta, getting my latest fix, when I happened to see Henry was selling knobbies what would fit a frame that maxed out at 700x28c. They're like very skinny cross tyres.

I just got in. Andrew I know what you mean. It's a blast riding out there! Woo! You guys are sissies with your cross tires and knobbies. :D I was on my track bike with 23c's. No problems. Epic skids while seated in the saddle. Riding down Bathurst into a headwind felt like climbing! Good times!
