dah.. stupid server. I wonder if this will be a semi-double post also.
I'll try and make it out tonight to CV.. but I've had a week of uber busy nights, so I might be more in the mood to just simply sit on my duff for the evening.

also: My friend's band, Wintersleep, is playing tomorrow night at Lee's Palace ($10). Really great stuff.. y'alls should come out! They're playing with another band from Halifax called Contrived, who I've never seen perform before, but I just checked them out on myspace and they sound pretty great too. Plus if they're friends with the boys from Wintersleep they're pretty much guaranteed to be good live imo.

Thanks for the help cavernmech and sr20det ,I was up at the shop today talking to Vertern-youth and Tayler about making the Pinarello fixed but I would have to take the campy Hub off and change the Campi crank arms to shorter ones as I am getting peddle strikes now carving corners so instead I'll keep the 42 ring and get a 16 cog instead and just make or buy a fixed gear instead

So here's my plan: I want to make a custom headbadge for my Pake (which is getting the decals peeled off). I'm thinking of using a silver dollar from the year I was born (my dad gave me one of those when I was a little kid and it's been something I've enjoyed for years - figured I could pick another one up at a coin shop). Anyway, I could use some tips on how to shape this thing to fit my headtube without crushing/gouging up the detail on the surface.
Brainiacs, GO!

32flavors: where'd you go?
I hope you're OK! I was trying to get my own ass up that hill and broke my #1 rule: watch out for your peeps.
ps. here's the route I took tonight

Ready for the first training ride? I think I can handle 34km.
And if my ass can get up to Eglinton on the route we took tonight, I think I can handle anything they throw at a bunch of old people on hybrids.

I'm very confused by this route.

Hey all... sorry for letting the vacuum suck me up earlier. I had to stop at Eglinton to pull out the good ol' inhaler, and when I was done you guys were nowhere in sight. I rode/looked around for awhile and then decided I'd lost you, so I decided to just keep riding. I finally realized that the buzzing in my chest was actually my cellphone, which I forgot to take off vibrate, and not my lungs wheezing, and it was Robin asking where I was... At this point I realized I hadn't looked around to see where I actually was for quite awhile and realized that the 401 was behind me and I'd somehow biked my ass up to North York. But rest assured I'm alive... Hope you guys had a good ride tonight despite my disappearance! It was nice to "meet" you all... maybe next time I'll actually find my manners and introduce myself to everyone. Yay Critical Vacuum!

we lost a rider going up Caledonia.... there were 3 distinct hills, she was with us for the first one and climbing up the 2nd I think. regrouped just before Eglinton and we were minus a person, then waited about 10 minutes before backtracking to Honest Eds. Obviously there is concern because we did not see her again on route back
32flavors please post to let us know you are alright *edit* that's good to hear.
also nice meeting some new faces
