it might have been just the other side of eglinton maybe, there is an entrance to an unlit rail trail that seemed like it was going to be fun...

No way you could've passed us going up caledonia I was there the entire time. 32flavours was behind me but I was figuring you'd catch up so I didn't look back :/

That was a fun ride.
<- just got back

Oh and uh this goes without saying:
pics pics pics pics pics pics pics pics

BTW I was Rob.

P.S. MEC is clearing its inventory of park tool stuff and they won't be carrying them anymore. So if you fancy of them, nows the time to get em. They're going to replace all their park stuff with Filzer (ugh?).

Here is gmaps route thing for the geek in us:

https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=106398
So the elevation profile says it's 60m change over like some distance. Whatever. Ride distance shown is a complete there and back dist to Honest eds. I don't carry my bike comp with me no more because frankly it just pissed me off.

They also seem to have elevation profile for Toronto now, yay.

No, no sale, damn goki you're working late.
The accuracy of that elevation profile is questionable.

I think you guys were actually a bit north of Eglinton, because I for sure stopped at Eglinton. And then went around the area for a bit. And then went east on Eglinton. And then ended up in North York. Anyhow, despite spending most of it riding solo, I had a blast tonight. Thanks for the ride, guys.

I was the guy in the orange toyota yaris that yelled at you guys while you were going down harbord

I also think we should do one of these rides to bluffer's park at some point and joke around on the cliffs. It could be a fun ride and there would be some sweet hills.

This sounds like the sort of plan that I'll hear about on the news the next day.

Sorry I missed the ride. I had a previous engagement I totally forgot about. Sounds like a good time. And I had my flesh coloured skin suit all ready to go too. Oh well. I will be there next time.

The reason for this is that MEC violates Park Tool's retailer policy. It retails them at wholesale prices, which pisses off everyone else who has to mark them up considerably. There was a big fight about it in some industry rags, which is also why MEC won't ship them out-of-country. As much as I love MEC, its pricing structures are very aggressive and I'm amazed more companies haven't pulled their products (quite a few have, though). When I was last there in December, there were few Park Tools left (like cone wrenches and chain whips) but nothing especially useful.

If anyone's looking for a cheap set of tools, the Nashbar fold-up kit is pretty good as it can be had for ~$70 on sale +coupon.

PS - Shiznaz: your display was written up as, amongst other things, "terrifyingly beautiful" as one UofT's major newspapers this week.
