Oh yeah, for Global Gutz - how does one typically find out about registration/start location? Will it be posted on messmedia.org ? I'm keen to get into as many 'races' this year to test my mettle (and just have fun and meet other bikey people) are there any others before this? A v-day ride? Where's the pulse on this stuff in the city?

It's shaping up to be a pretty messy ride home! I wonder what the streets will be like in the morning since this supposed to continue on and off for the next ~12 hours.

I think I might make the trip to MEC tomorrow to get a front fender of some sort. Live the gortex, love the gortex. I may only use my gortex pants a handful of times a year, but when I do I'm soooo glad to have them.

Yeah, I wore the full goretex suit today too since I don't have fenders on my cx bike. In fact, there's so little clearance around my fenders on my turdbanite that I really don't like riding it in the slop as things just get all jammed up and it feels like I'm riding uphill the whole way!

How do you find those new shoes in this type of slop, TJ? Is that what you're wearing? My cheapo Exustar ones keep my feet drying than regular bike shoes, but some water still seeps in around the closure somehow. But for $80 I can't really complain.

Dude , my feet have been dry as a bone all winter and warm. Though, I think I felt a bit of moisture this morning. With all this salty crap it's a clean and treat evening for them.

I just got this email regarding that Fuji track bike....any comments?

Hi,

Thanks for the inquiry. The bike is still for sale but I will have to meet you tonight.

I will be eating a Vesuvio's Pizza tonight at 8 PM (3010 Dundas Street West). I will be in a blue jacket with a red hoodie and jeans. Meet me in front.

Price is negotiable but it has to be done in cash.

Talk to the cops.

Bring your lock with you and some sort of proof or something. Lock the bike up if you see it and just head on over to the cop shop on Mavety. Or, maybe as I suggested in the PM I sent you, ride it over to the cops and explain? I am guessing that you reported the bike at 14 division, right? Vesuvios is 2 minutes away from 11 division on Mavety...

What a bastid! Well that was certainly a fun ride home!!! Could bottle that and sell it as an exfoliant. Fer Realz, I always feel like the captain of a ship, standing on the bow, getting a facefull of ocean. (right down to the salty water) Full speed ahead!!!

It was quite the ride home tonight! We got about 5-6cm of snow between 5:45 and 6:30...

The lightning was a cool effect for the ride home

The lightning was beautiful, I cannot recall the last time there has been thunder and lightning during a snowstorm. The snow is great and I had an awesome snowball fight with my sister's kid and wow, my 8-year old niece clocked me right in the eyes with a hard-packed snowball. I was seeing stars but it was funny as heck, my sister saw the whole thing and died laughing....good fun.

Yeah it was pretty awesome. Saw a couple bolts just after 6.

Doesn't look like it will be snowing tomorrow morn. https://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/CAON0696

Dude, it's obviously a setup. Probably out laughing somewhere that some ******bag troll made you go out in a snowstorm to a non-existent meeting.

It's actually happened a bunch of times in the past couple years. Apparently you guys don't stare out the window as often as me.

" Alllll..by....My....seeeeeeelfff...."

The ride was awesome...had a little convoy with 2 other riders going over the Parkway...GOOD TIMES!
The lightening freaked me out a bit as it flashed right behind me as I was coming in my front door. Thought it was the damned Paparazzi but it was only god.
And I still say 23c's rock.
