Oh man. You know those "Jesus Christ Church" people? who dress very formally, and try and convert you while you sit on the bus (well... at least they do to me). Well I almost got doored by one of them today as he got out of a car, like I managed to slide to a stop in front of him, coming up Christie to Dupont right at the lights as I was slowing down.
And he said nothing but "damn", being the fast-talking-not-thinking person that I can be after a bad day at work, I asked him if dooring cyclists was good karma then told him the price for dooring cyclists was $300+ (I don't know how much it is, but I figure I say its lots, people will think again when exiting cars)
ps: Anyone else see the burning car a Bathurst and Bloor?

Eugene is 2nd right. The article is dated Oct, 2007. But that picture was much earlier than that.

Anyone else ride along Harbord in the past 24h or so? I think in an attempt to clear snow along the curb the city managed to make the bike lane way worse. It's like they scooped off the top 75% of the snow bank, but then squished the remaining 25% down so that it now takes up the full bike lane again along most of Harbord. Most of the lane had been peeking through, and now it's back to square one. *sigh*
On the other hand, yesterday was absolutely lovely for riding. I think I actually got a slight sunburn on my face from my ride yesterday morning! Total raccoon styles of course since I was wearing my sunglasses/helmet/etc.

Yeah, yesterday was an awesome day for a ride. Glad I dragged my ass out there!

Yep - had to divert south off Bloor, east and back to Bathurst/Bloor via sidestreets around that Mirvish block... I had my daughter in the trailer on the back, and strangely enough passed my boss in the traffic. We finally parted ways at Broadview/Danforth - and I ride pretty slow with the trailer, so it goes to show how bad traffic can be.
Riding was definitely nice yesterday, even though I had the trailer on to add to the workload. I came back across town somewhat safetied and drunk last night close to midnight, so not really sure but it was nice this morning too on the way in. I finally brought my camera out again, this time with a handlebar mount - I'm just copying it over so I'll post it up if it's any good.

Will Traffic Jammer manage to get passes for this springs Bike Show?
Will the absence of Cavern Cycles affect distribution? Does anyone care?
How will these questions get answered ?...... Stay tuned.

i popped by urbane today to offer my condolences for eugene and lo and behold i spent money when i didn't need to. how dare they carry soma double-gate toe clips! (FYI for toe clip users - they are a great all-metal alternative to the old mountain bike toe clips).

Well I announced spring to the sales lady who handles the account and while she hasn't received the order for the advertising she's quite certain its a matter of time. Once contacted she'll then be able to grab me some passes.
