every spring the city does a blitz of the post and rings to get rid of "abandoned" bikes.

i've seen them put tags on them first, to warn the owner that the rings are for "temporary parking only" and then if it's still there whenever they return, they remove it.

i hate when you're trying to find a free post and there's just busted frames taking up space, so it's good in a way that they do it. however, whether or not every frame goes through the proper protocol, and where it ends up is questionable.

Sometimes not having to work until 1:30 is a dry street bonus.

i had a guy clip my pedals as he tried to run me into the curb at dundas/mcaul
so i yell at him and hit his fender.
he slams on the brake so i'm beside his passenger windows and rolls them down
"where did you come from? why would you hit my car like that?"
tells his dobermann in the back seat to "get" me.
and then gets out of the car and tries to come after me
i ride away and the street car blocked him so he couldnt drive after me.

had to duck up huron on the one way to get away from him.

taking the lane while trackstanding. this ******bag was behind a couple bikes that were behind me.

the light changes and i move closer to the curb and start to ride down the street
and he comes from behind and tries to do the squeeze between me and the streetcar.

thats why the "where did you come from?" really threw me off.

i didnt say anything other than say "this guy is nuts" to the biker that was behind me.
and nod at the street car driver as i tried to get away.

I am getting a 360 soon through the reeeediculous hook-up.....brand new, $150 with 5 games. The E.B. games employee price. I won't have any use for mine after that if you want it. Un-modded.

Man the games are worth that price alone.

They came by Cavern last spring and cut my extra mini off the post that I left there for extra lock-up. No bike...just the lock. Almost brand new. Right in front of the shop...didn't ask me or anything. I was extremely annoyed.

I didn't push it at all today. Just to work and back: 14km. Took the Cannondale to CT, and boy am I glad I did: getting a new set of teeth would have been a might bit more expensive than the new fork I need. Its really scary how f'ed up a bike can get from seemingly small accidents.
