Who sells road Kool-Stops? *leans towards Castelli...despite only getting one pair, b/c they really do seem to be substantially nicer*
I'm usually in shorts when riding.... occasionally if I'm out and about or night riding with plans to stop for a bevy..I'll toss fabric shorts over the riding shorts.

Has anyone tried Assos chamois creme? I heard Lance Armstrong say that was what he used. I'm pretty happy with my Butt Paste, but you never know.

I've got a couple hours to kill before meeting some friends for beerfood. If anyone wants to get together for a drink/coffee/whatnot, give me a ringyding.

Jet I found your old thread. I guess Nitto has some nice 27.0 ones. What did you end up getting?

And blue open corsa's are $36 https://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=Y1060
And that's before the 10% open discount. WIth free shipping, it's hard to beat.
The last Rubino Pro I bought locally cost $35.
I talked to someone at Duke's and he said that RaceFace makes a 27.0 setback post but they are pretty expensive, well over $100 and it just wasn't in the cards for me.
How much setback is there on the Miche Supertype?
oOooo, five bucks

If I hadn't just picked up a sweet Dura Ace 27.2 seatpost, I would have been all over the Supertype, they look nice and I like the setback.

Happy Birthday to the birthday boy. Mec money is great.
I like the climbing shants from there, stretchy and super comfy.
Flimflam-I ditched the stock pads and put koolstops in today. Much, much better. The tektro ones were alreadyworn out.
Jer, thanks again for the bike and parts. All will be put to good use.

Some NY freestyle dude broke it while pulling a wheelie...
Any recommendations for waterproof booties that will fit over my Sidi Eagles?

I find that's the case with most chamois-cream, though I don't usually use the stuff anyway. I've had the same tube of Chamois Butt'r for about 2 years now.

Pretty sure MEC has Koolstops, TJ - as does Urbane - the selection at MEC is a bit more limited, I think they're only the canti ones there (from my last check ages ago). Not sure where else, I've not looked to be honest. I'll be going to get mine very shortly.
Glad I remembered my rain pants today as I had to go upto Yonge/Eg after the GO to Union. Always catches me off guard when I skid a little due to backpedaling in the slippy rain. I rode home down Yonge to Davenport over to Dupont then down Bathurst, and I have to say I had the worst 'treatment' I've had in a while on the roads on Bathurst - just general inattentiveness and folks straddling both lanes when there were parked cars (these are folks that are in a line of moving traffic, just everyone else is in the correct position in the centre lane). Nothing really happened, I backed out of whatever close call would've happened in the squeeze but it's annoying to be disregarded. C'est la vie de la cycliste!
Edit: almost forgot the Dr. Benway siting - Bay/College at around 6:20pm tonight - different (weather friendly looking) ride which is what threw me off for a sec.

Do you think this is worth $350, to start building up my fixie?

Also, I'm going to attempt a snot-filled Don ride this afternoon/evening. Anyone interested?
