I think the people that were upset by this quote missed the point and humor. Riding brakeless is wreckless and the only reason people do it is pride, based on aethstetic or toughness factor I'm not sure.

Could be nice though.. hwy 53 looks like a pretty direct route, and there's also a rail trail connecting Hamilton-Brantford but which would probably require some bigger tires.

For real? Hamilton -> Brantford is only 37k according to gmaps.

Never done it, but you would have to go up the 'mountain'. Not super easy depending upon your gearing

that was my main concern. it is by no means a flat journey.

As someone who has recently gone DOWN that same "mountain" (and had the effing time of my life, may I add), I will third this.

I ain't 'fraid of no hills! In fact, the area around Dundas/Ancaster/etc is kinda hilly, but also really beautiful.
