a question for you tattoo guys (ie guys with a lot of tattoos...) do you know of an artist that you would recommend? i'm thinking along the lines of someone you know personally (friend etc) and who you would want to do some work on you (and obviously local). PM me if you have any ideas.
i only ask here because i'd rather get a personal recommendation than throw the net out there and hope for the best.

I've give all the people that have tattooed me glowing reviews but unfortunately they're in Vancouver, Newfoundland & California via New Zealand so they don't help you out much. Unfortunately, you missed the latter (Dan Smith) by a couple days as he is here right now but is heading back to Cali on Monday and isn't planning on doing any more work before he goes. Too bad, too, he traded a bunch of tattoo time for a bike and bike parts this week! If you like his work, though, he's a good friend of a bunch of us and comes here every now and then and always talks of a potential Toronto move.
Locally, here are some folks you may be interested in;
Dan Innes
Rob Coutts or David Glantz
Lizzie or Tyson
Scott, Wes or probably anyone at TCB - No website, but right beside the old Rotate
Ultimately I'd recommend someone to you based one style, size, etc. becauce certain folks excel at certain things so... any ideas?

Just learned how to trackstand. I went down to the basement and thought i'd give it another try and it just happened. I'm real happy since i'm not very good at unclipping and clipping on the fixed gear. Learning it was similar to when a coworker tried to teach me how to juggle three balls, at first i though it'd be impossible, but after a week of practicing it finally made sense and seemed like the easiest thing ever.

Disc golf as in golfing with discs (frisbees). There's a very nice course out on the island. I lost a disc on Saturday in the water on hole 4, so I rented a wetsuit and went diving for it today. Found the disc plus 25 others, three of which I gave away to folks who were passing by and the remainder of those with contact info I 'll attempt to return to their rightful owners. The unclaimed/unmarked discs, I'll either give away or sell after picking any out for my quiver. For any of you golfers out there, put more than your first name on the disc. Seriously, how many people named Ross could there be in Toronto?

Wow:

I'd love to sit on the nose of the saddle of that bike and hammer in the aero bars if you know what I mean.

Jackass move of last night = 3 shirtless fake spray tan drunken punkass teens whipping frisbees at the light poles near the beaches boardwalk near unsuspecting bystanders, babies, and dogs. Hope you enjoyed your barefoot walk through the off-leash area, dumbasses.

I was staggered, but sadly, not surprised that they were charged under the Highway Traffic Act. Otherwise, would have been criminal negligence or something that may actually have resulted in a penalty. Or some semblance of justice, god forbid.
I'm okay for golf anytime today AND tomorrow (ha ha!) PM'd my number to you Wes. Keith, I have two Rocs that are unclaimed (ie. no contact info on them). I do have an Aviar-X which I've saving for Sandra's 10 year old nephew who is now totally hooked on disc golf, nothing else in putters though. Once I've contacted folks about discs and determined the orphans, I'll post up any extras I have for folks to pick up.

i saw that and inquired about getting one - he owner told me that shipping is $50 to canada (free domestic shipping in the US). at that price it's a tad too prohibitive to order i think.

looks a bit like rain this weekend so for those of you not riding or partaking in pride / other cultural activities allow me recommend a great film: This is England. Very well written and acted by a brilliant 12 year old. a great "80's" film that didn't reek of overly sentimentalized nostalgia.

anyone ever modded a front basket to work more like a platform rack? is it just a matter of hacksawing off the top 3/4 of the basket or what have you?

Sucks that there's not serious charge to that woman
Riding home on College last night there was a big scene at St. Clarens Ave (the one way north from Dundas to College right near Lansdowne/the triangle) - apparently a girl on a bike had been hit by a car - no other details, I hope she's OK - can't find anything on the news sites yet. She was taken to hospital (or someone was, anyway) but that's all I know.
TJ: Yeah I think so, there's a Facebook group setup for it (Thursday 100's)
Ride plans for me today are minimal, I'm heading over to CT shortly, otherwise nothing other than grabbing a bite to eat somewhere.
PS: Having an escort of 50 bike cops, 3 cruisers and a paddy wagon created a really weird tone/atmosphere at CM.
