i've been told that something like 4000 euros end up being thrown into that thing daily.

my girlfriend returned from italy with the plan to make a historical fountain in our front yard.

Pretty much anywhere that sells maps: drugstore, gas station, bookstore or you can order from www.mapart.com

Perlys maps are good too. You can check them out at the www.randmcnally.com

Streetwise makes a downtown laminated map. www.streetwise.com

Cheapes though is the city bike map you can grab for free at many bikeshops.

So....
My wife buys these Kleenex impregnated with Vicks, on account of her allergies and soon enough, they've taken over the house, even in the bathroom.

I highly recommend not using them as toilet paper. Don't ask me how I know.

Actually due to annoying bureaucratic nonsense, it will be two more weeks until I get my bike. What can you do.

Quite. But I'm not bashing eastern Europe.
This is Canada and we do have laws people should follow them.

YOU THERE, are you J-walking? Yes, I thought so.
Quite smoking that joint, it's illegal.

So my point is that peoples perception of the law may be different.
This may be true especially growing up in another country.

Igor with all the bad karma he's gathered over the years probably does deserve to be punished.

And yes.. it would be just as immoral to buy those parts off the police auction.

jet sanchEz 07-18-08 09:07 PM

How is it immoral to buy a bike from a police auction? They are not all stolen bikes; from the looks of the bikes that are usually posted, they are abandoned. The TTC used to have public auctions of goods that were left on the subway/buses/streetcars and there were cameras, laptops, clothing, golf clubs as well as bikes. They hold them for a year and then sell them, that is immoral?

lymbzero 07-18-08 09:46 PM

What I mean is it's immoral to buy the bikes from Igor's police repo auction

If the police allow a reasonable amount of time to elapse and make a good-will effort to reunite stolen bikes with their original owners, whatever is left is fair game, IMO.

Anyone got any ideas for an aer0 seatpost? Something like this?

cavit8 07-18-08 10:47 PM

I agree with Lymbzero. It's immoral to get bikes at an Igor derived auction. So I better not see..... uh I mean hear that any of you were there.

Hey operator. Did you get that thing I sentcha?

krusty 07-18-08 10:55 PM

I've seen a few discounted aero posts at Enduro Sport's clearance center just north of York Mills off Leslie. Also at Bay Sports in Pickering. The measurement is, of course, the length of the aero section above the clamp as well as the diameter.

I bought mine on Cyclepath on Yonge for about 30 bucks (ACS Claws), but had to wait a week for them to order it in. I can sell/trade you my 19T (<50km) if you want, as I bought a 22T to replace it...

The story that I got was that his shop is a fire hazard and that's why they were removing all the bikes, we all know why they really were, but that's the official word. I posted up a couple of pics this morning here

hey! thanks for posting those pics of my bikes. i'm gonna be there at 9:55 a.m. waiting in line. it's crazy how many people i've talkto about this in the last few days.

in a totally unrelated story i'm working on a huge shoot right now for pokerstars.com. yesterday during some downtime i watched one guy lose $160,000 in a game and not even sweat it. wtf

With all the effort those guys put into shutting down their emotions he probably would have had the same non-response if he'd won $160k. I've seen it a few times where someone's won a tournament and only let out a tight smile and a quick head nod.

Sounds good, you've got a pm :)

decent mountain bike gloves and grips, anyone got something special they like and would recommend?

and where can i get inexpensive 29er tubes? (my touring tubes, max out at 42mm, i think i need a 52mm (the tires are 2.3))

I_bRAD 07-19-08 12:01 PM

I like either Oury, or yeti speed grips. The lock on ones are handy, but not essential.

Dood, you blew up my new ride. Just kidding but yeah, I've been watching this since the start and it potentially could be an awesome deal.

500 more bikes found in a garage off of Gladstone Ave.,
maybe it was just me, but I thought the cops claiming they only pulled 150 bikes out of Igor's shop to be a pretty low count for someone who has been doing this for over a decade.

+1 on OURY....the best grips
For gloves I like FOX product....not the cheapest but very durable and comfy. I would suggest staying away from Race-Face and Northwave....I didn't even get half a season out of em. The FOX gloves I had lasted me 3 full seasons.
The cheap tube sellers dont do a proper 29er tube yet. Bontrager ones are like $7 at C.S. Kingston Rd. Those in the know say you can use a big cross tube with little problems. I use the Bonny 29er ones...still waiting on the Schwalbe extra lights.

iherald 07-19-08 02:40 PM

Does anyone know where I can get a camelbak backpack? I have a new bladder, but I can't find my pack. I don't need much, 1.5 litre likely, but I find I'd like more than one bottle while riding off road.
