It was 4-6 weeks for my capo 5 weeks ago :( Hurry up!!

Any good bike shop or travel outfitters should have a pack. Many manufacturers put a bladder pocket in their packs these days so choices abound.

500 more bikes found in a garage off of Gladstone Ave.,
maybe it was just me, but I thought the cops claiming they only pulled 150 bikes out of Igor's shop to be a pretty low count for someone who has been doing this for over a decade.

i was there this morning and was quite surprised at how few bikes were there. i found neither of mine :( but i did see 5 or 6 people as they ran over and exclaimed "this is my bike!! yes!!!" and that was pretty awesome.

I_bRAD 07-19-08 04:51 PM

They should give first dibs of the unclaimed bikes to anyone with a police report.

For gloves I like FOX product....not the cheapest but very durable and comfy. I would suggest staying away from Race-Face and Northwave....I didn't even get half a season out of em. The FOX gloves I had lasted me 3 full seasons.
The cheap tube sellers dont do a proper 29er tube yet. Bontrager ones are like $7 at C.S. Kingston Rd. Those in the know say you can use a big cross tube with little problems. I use the Bonny 29er ones...still waiting on the Schwalbe extra lights.

awesome, thanks.

Do any shops in the city carry the Topeak Road Morph pump? preferably the one without the gauge, since its cheaper. Iv been having a lot of bad luck with pumps lately and i have been doing research on a high quality yet affordable portable pump, and the road morph seems to get rave reviews. Thanks.

I_bRAD 07-19-08 06:33 PM

No recommendations on places to get one, but they are great pumps. I've had one for a few years.

aMull 07-19-08 06:33 PM

Two years ago when i wanted to buy it i couldn't find it so i just got it from ebay for about $30. Btw get the one with the gauge, it's useful to know your pressure while pumping and saves time. Good choice it's an excellent pump, does the tires in no time.

cavit8 07-19-08 07:07 PM

Velotique has one with the guage for $50. I got mine sans gauge from MEC for less when they used to have them, but in retrospect the gauge would come in handy. As per IbRad, they are kick ass little pumps.

On a related note I got the topeak superchuck pump head replacement from Velotique. Completely resurrected my floor pump and is a great little device.

exhibitx 07-19-08 07:35 PM

road morph is great, i don't find the gauge works all that well though

got mine at urbane or MEC, i forget

Saw Batman, it was really good. The "magic trick" part was amazing.

You should see Uncle Jacobs Basement!

Gas.Face 07-19-08 09:00 PM

Thanks for all the replies. I was in MEC a few days ago and all they had was a basic floor pump and a Planet Bike Roadie pump. Even though I'm not a big fan of Cyclepath I saw on their website that they carry the one w/o the gauge for $40. Since I already have a seperate tire pressure gauge so I'm not too worried about that. Hopefully I'll be able to score one soon so i can get my bike back up and running. Again, thanks for all the help.

operator 07-19-08 09:06 PM

The full size topeak road morph I stopped carrying unless i'm on a reallly long ride. It's just too big (and heavy). Topeak also makes the mini road morph, which is a scaled down version which fits nicely in your jersey pocket while retaining almost all the nice features (flexible hose, high pressure etc).

Tomorrow I'm going to do the big donut (zero), as I have to work an overtime shift tomorrow night. Maybe a few hill repeats in my neighborhood if it's dry.
