OPerator, the only reason for blazing with the electrical geeks is that I would more than likely ride home with a cobbled together prototype of my, uh..... weapon/equalizer.
Yay they fill those bikes wheel traps on King in the east!

MAN that was a sweet bike , still dream about it ??:)

TRaffic Jammer 05-04-06 05:14 PM

yup I sold it here ...... to Polly...needed the bucks.
Had a mavic areo alum crank set on it( a la G Lemond). Ambroseo areo rear, it was so fast.
I miss it hard, I'd buy it back in a heart beat. It was 55 and too long, but so so fast.

jet sanchEz 05-04-06 05:21 PM

Coolio, I just walk into the SilverSnail and they hand me a comic? The industry must be in trouble or something, but suits me fine ;)

STEEKER 05-04-06 05:23 PM

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo we gonna do a small drive around the core ? P.S. ask Polly for the bike back

TRaffic Jammer 05-04-06 05:25 PM

naw Polly sold it years ago, I doubt he'd even remember to whom. Looking at the setup it must have seemed a bizarre mish mash of gear.
*sniff*

Jet..... you will more than likely get to choose the three or four you want from the piles of FREE COMIC BOOKS.

I would like to know this also. Although I may be too busy bearing the cross of stats II to go.

cavit8 05-04-06 08:34 PM

Okay, last time I'll post the link. Have fun folks, I have to go to Ottawa this weekend.

operator 05-04-06 08:42 PM

Cavit8 you didn't post anything.

sr20det 05-04-06 08:49 PM

cmon, let us in on whats happening tomorrow or else I've have to go get babysat at uncle cavernmech's afterschool! although thats not too bad of an idea.

also, eyefloater, any word on them merino jerseys or wool or w/e? I want to join the cool kids club too.

32flavours 05-04-06 08:50 PM

Hah. I've read the link, I was actually hoping for more details, specifically if there's any cost.

cavit8 05-04-06 08:55 PM

sorry, I'm a little burned out tonight. Should be free, but tell them to put it on operator's bill if not. Everyone knows "the operator". you know, you know.

operator 05-04-06 09:02 PM

No seriously I don't see any link.

this happened to me last night going down markham st. on my bike. Me and my buddy Mike were doing a beer run down to college, so I tow him on his skateboard at about 30km/h from harbord to college. About 3/4s of the way down to college a car catches up with us and starts doing jerky accelerations just to keep within tailgating range, swerving all over the freaking road trying to get past us. If Mike had fallen over the car would have been on him instantly. After he passed us at the intersection he he flips me off, yells something and then screeches his tires across college street. I guess he was in a hurry or something?

Also about jet fuel tonight; its my girlfriends birthday so I probably won't be able to make it out. we will see though

sweep242 05-05-06 06:31 AM

Ok heading down after work can be downtown about 5:30-6:00 the where & when part? Out front of cavern we could go east or west? I’ll check back in.

somnambulant 05-05-06 07:15 AM

operator: I can't believe someone with 6,441 total posts doesn't know how to use the "Search This Thread" function. ;)

sweep: you've got my mobile number, right? Just give me a call when you get downtown. I was thinking about swinging by cavern as well as Cycle Therapy.

jeremywhitehorn 05-05-06 08:13 AM

saw a couple of nice fixies in the last couple of days, wondering if it's anyone here:

black Gaansari skidstrong frame, yonge / bloor.

white miyata track bike, bullhorns same area.

TRaffic Jammer 05-05-06 08:26 AM

I walked to worked from spadina yesterday and saw two messers on a couple nice ones as well. Is this a fad now?

jeremywhitehorn 05-05-06 08:40 AM

i don't think so, messengers have always ridden fixed. i usually see nicer bikes on the road come spring when they can pull out their fenderless lightweights.

so i finally received my new frame (original 80's bridgestone, 67cm c-t-c) from the US so operation pinkbike is in full effect. i have most of it built but i still need to get to the bike shop to get the right length bb installed. i'll post up some pics of the pink giant when i get a minute.

STEEKER 05-05-06 08:43 AM

Cycle Solutions still has that blue Pinareelo frame amd I saw a nice used Bionchi up there yesterday( wrong spelling)
