32flavours 05-27-06 11:10 AM

*jumps in late*

Thanks for the ride last night guys.

edit: I would be up for a relaxed spin. My ankle is still not totally OK so I can't mash hard or anything.

STEEKER 05-27-06 11:13 AM

I might just buzz around the city core then head to Kensington Market for a coffeeee gotta clean the glass from my tires first

People who wake up before 10:30 (cough, when I woke up) are evil.

operator 05-27-06 11:17 AM

eyefloater came down w/ some ****ed up **** and blacked out last night (well, I woke up, felt awful, went to the washroom and blacked out a few times in there). Today my body's been devoted to flushing all fluid from my system (yaaay) and making me feel absolutely exhausted (+ bonus crushing headache action). I don't know what the hell's going on, but hopefully it clears up by tomorrow (back to work).

I hope the ride went well - feel free to let me know how it was.

Edit: got my spell on.

operator 05-27-06 11:53 AM

90ks, headwind all the way up. And some ******bag mother****er FFL guy telling me to do him a favour and not ride down the middle of the road.

Nice ride otherwise.

Blaze ftw.

eyefloater 05-27-06 11:56 AM

90k? I thought it was ~72? Did you do an extra loop or something?

It seems like every week some lightweight feels the need to tell you how to ride your bike. Unfortunate, that.

Shiznaz 05-27-06 12:07 PM

I was gonna go on the FFL ride but last night some of my buddies were over so I decided to polish off the case of red cap. I ended up in bed around 2am and woke up at 7 severely dehydrated and feeling like ****. I've gone on rides in that condition before and its never fun or pretty. Plus I only like going on rides where Rob has to commute across the city to go on.

On the up-side, I just played several hours of oblivion!

operator 05-27-06 12:08 PM

Yeah extra llike 15 for ride down to start point.

STEEKER 05-27-06 12:19 PM

shower then going downtown in abit along the lake to Kensinton then back up along Bloor

I like how you refer to yourself in the 3rd person. haha.

eyefloater 05-27-06 04:57 PM

You should hear it when I start busting out the Royal "we" ... it's definitely worthy of a backhand to shut me up.

Yo operator, I decided just to meet up with the FFL guys at the halfway point in Aurora on Henderson - got there around 11 am, but maybe I missed you. Anyways, I did the rest of the route with a couple people I met last time and I gotta say, Keele is a great road.

After the finish at Finch, I decided to go downtown and visit some u of t friends on Elm, but got intercepted by the Falun Dafa parade/protest around Dundas/Yonge so had to walk down to Queen and bike from there. On the way back home, I took Yonge up to 16th ave and went across to Warden.

operator 05-27-06 10:03 PM

11? Damn we passed the rest stop around 10:30. Oh well, next time.

Yo jeremey, distance and speed/time startpoint? Feel a bit slow from this mornings ride.

i usually start at jet fuel (519 parliament) at around 10 and do somewhere in the neighbourhood of 100km. well, if you're slow then i'm slower and more out of shape these days.

on another note, i found that riding to the pub is a sure fire way to prevent over-drinking. knowing you have to pedal home keeps you from ordering that last round. i've done it intoxicated before and it was really dumb, i admit but better than a DUI anyway.

Op - i'll be riding north anyway so if you're not up to coming downtown we can meet up the burbs and do a loop if you want.

operator 05-27-06 10:31 PM

Yeyeywefha yesadhfdsd fok.
Meet up where?

Ok, if i wake up in time i'll check forums and post.

Ill Mitch 05-28-06 12:08 AM

who was that at CM who had the handlebar camera mount thing?

I'm just curious about where you got it and who makes it.

I forget what your BF name was.

eyefloater 05-28-06 12:09 AM

*raises hand*

$30 at Urbane.

Ill Mitch 05-28-06 12:11 AM

sweeeeet thanks :D

somnambulant 05-28-06 06:05 AM

Jeremy: about what time do you get back downtown when finishing up the ride? I'd like to come out sometime, but it likely won't be for a few weeks at least.
