i'm sure it'll clear up pretty quick as the tempeture warms up

Thanks for the warning. Looks like i'll take transit down instead.

Red is fastest, everywhere.

Although I am not TJ, I clicked on the link ;). Does anyone know what the shipping would be to Canada?

Similarly, never having bought just a frame, what else would I need to buy?

Yeah i decided i'm taking TTC today. But i would have probably done it anyway since i am also playing squash and don't want to bring tons of clothes with me, or get too tired.

Queen/King was awesome

Do you need a new one, Erin? I've got a couple 1 1/8" star nuts at home if you need...

somnambulant 03-03-08 08:54 AM

Roads were fine when I was out at 8:30am. Damp, but not slippery.

...and what's that for Wes? The geometry is insane on the Fetish...seemingly beyond the norm for race ready frames. I'm all be for being upfront on a bike but....eek?

Geometry is wack. Well over 4 pounds for an alu frame is a tad high. It has an integrated headset. My experiences with them as a company have sucked ***** in the past. The red is hideous. $499.99 regular price? rip-off. I guess you could do worse for $199.99..that is the best thing I have to say about that frame.

jeremywhitehorn 03-03-08 10:04 AM

i don't mind the 73 degree angles in my size but 75 for smaller sizes? it'd be like riding half a chair with wheels.

jeremywhitehorn 03-03-08 10:05 AM

**** - i just heard on cbc radio that jeff healey died. i didn't even know he was sick...

cavit8 03-03-08 10:11 AM

Yeah, retinoblastoma which is what blinded him in the first place. Very sad.

wes - anther frame? what are you buying?

nerdsgirth 03-03-08 10:47 AM

What a Canadian legend! I have had 'angel eyes' in my head since last night.

TJ where did you get your AXIO laptop case? Had them here: http://www.academicsuperstore.com/ma...gory_id=264528 for cheap, but can't seem to find them now. I need some serious protection for it. I have been rolling the dice with the neoprene.

TRaffic Jammer 03-03-08 10:53 AM

OK Fetish is off the list... too insane a set of angles... face plant city , twitchy.
Back to reality...*sigh* 200 bones sure would have been sweet.

I got mine up at CPUsed.

RIP J.H. You had rockin' shows.

My fork and I just got back to my desk with a new star nut. Thanks all for the quick insight and help! It's shaping up into a lovely day on all counts.

Also Matt, I have the fixings for 110 rear spaced wheelset for the class, so let any other attendees know, I too have a spare wheel to build should anyone need it.

somnambulant 03-03-08 12:22 PM

Just got back from a little lunchtime spin. Get outside and enjoy it while it lasts, kids!

So, it looks like I'm probably not heading to Ottawa this weekend now. What time is everyone planning on going to the bike show?

I_bRAD 03-03-08 03:11 PM

I'm going friday afternoon.

Ha! I thought so... but I checked the Bianchi site and didn't see any ss cross frames on there... Nevermind... found it! Roooooooooger!

TRaffic Jammer 03-03-08 03:13 PM

Nice - I've always been happy with my Rocky Mountain... I mean, I haven't ridden it a lot lately but it being my first "good" bike I'll always have a soft spot for it... If only the graphics weren't so ridiculous. ;)
