Anyone going to see Silverstein next Saturday? Was pondering but I'd be lonesome which feels awkward.

Thanks for the shwarma news. I've been to Queen Pita for falafel, but haven't tried the shwarma. Haven't gone for a while for falafels either because I'm testy when hungry and things there take a while. If there is some socially acceptable way to circumvent that (like calling ahead perhaps) I'd be glad to know.
Bonus that it's right across from a beer store. That takes care of 5 minutes of the seemingly interminable wait.

Shwarma's a little quicker because the Gus usually fries up the falafel for each sandwich as he makes it. Because the chicken is cooked, you're usually in and out in a couple of minutes.

Hey, look - it's U.S. National Champion Tim Johnson on a huge breakaway! Why's he looking right at me?

OH****ING****HE'SCOMING TO EAT MY FACE OFF:

Cue Mr. Johnson buzzing my lens with what felt like inches to spare.

GAHH!!!!! *throws arms up in front of face*
Cool shot.
As well, my youngest has said she'd come with Daddy to the race at Riverdale in the next couple weeks.
All your collective flickr shots are rollin' away on my Mac, nice stuff shutter buggers.

Riding back in the rain was ****e but the racing was awesome. CS had easily one of the best set-ups there. I was haulin to get there before the pro races, so when I passed Pyze I just screamed and kept cruisin'

i like all this combining of beer and bikes - two of my favourite things (the others being warm woolen mittens and whiskers on kittens).

hey folks!
are you looking for something to do this sunday the 16th in the afternoon?
does "offbeat" and bizzare" describe your favourite ride?
have you always dreamed of being an extra in an independent canadian film?
well then look no further:
"I am looking for a couple of offbeat looking individuals to play the background courier extras - however I am NOT looking for 'realistic' couriers but rather people with bizarre bikes and matching outfits (rockabilly, steampunk, etc) especially anything that could fit into an historical or possible future era of history."
PM me if you're interested!

Well, I sketched out on Sunday - oops. Might make it to the Riverdale races, but as my friends like to say, "I live in the realm of 'maybe'."
OTOH: it looks like I'll be staying in Toronto for the foreseeable future - got a programmin' job lined up for when I finish school. Single male with significant increase of income == more bikes.
