Hey guys,

http://www.canecreek.com/SCR-5-Brake-Levers.html

thanks

tuz 11-16-08 10:09 PM

Urbane has the Tektro (R200A) ones, which I think are the exact same (aside from the logos etc...)

wasted weasel 11-16-08 11:34 PM

great. thankyou

shapelike 11-17-08 06:48 AM

Lancy pants won the Rocky Hill Roundup on a 29er. Yay for more riders considering 29ers to be a viable option and coming through with great results. That is all.

shapelike 11-17-08 06:51 AM

Oh, it was a messy race this weekend:

nice looking shots wes and mike.

MattRennick 11-17-08 08:58 AM

Agreed - amazing shots!

Unrelated: Any updates on the taxi vs. cyclist saga? I haven't seen anything in the news. Did anyone know the fella involved?

jet sanchEz 11-17-08 09:50 AM

Geez, those are great shots.

I haven't heard anything further about the cabbie/cyclist thing but I have been taking it slow by the Drake lately, just out of superstition or something. As Brad said, it is a nightmare along that block with cabs u-turning and people jumping out into the street hailing cabs. It has been like that since the Drake opened, it sucks, especially when they are closing down for the night.

I_bRAD 11-17-08 09:53 AM

apparently it was up the road from the drake- at dovercourt and argyle. I haven't heard any names yet... just that the rider had a beard and was a longhair. Also allegedly an avid cyclist

Oh ****, I think I have seen this guy around quite a bit. I thought that the bike in that pic might have been his and now, with this description....damn. Anything about the age of the guy?

I_bRAD 11-17-08 10:07 AM

In his 30s

Did J. Whitehorn end up finding a winter jacket? Inquiring minds want to know.

cavit8 11-17-08 01:22 PM

Before I farm this out to some yahoos on Craigslist, I thought I'd fire it out here in case anyone is in need of some cash. I'll be moving to Ottawa in the next week or so and need help loading my uhaul. It will likely get loaded in the morning of some day early next week. No pianos, no safes, no really heavy stuff. $25/hour with a guaranteed 2 hours. I'm negotiable on the rates. PM me if you're interested.

somnambulant 11-17-08 01:36 PM

Made it hard to ride...

Great shots guys!! That bog looked like a whole lotta fun. What was hitting the pebbly beach like all covered in mud?

he did indeed - scored my first "non cycling" jacket in about 10 years: surplus navy pea coat (with the soldier's name still in it...creepy but still neat).

i wonder if an old MTB inner tube would work as a mudflap if i weighted it down a bit at the ends?

TRaffic Jammer 11-17-08 02:52 PM

You'd have to stiffen it somewhat, or else it will just flap around in the wind.
A piece of say plastic juice jug plastic sandwiched between two pieces of inner tube......... held together with good spray adhesive.

how about a piece of jug squeezed into one intact innertube? perhaps with some spray adhesive as well... if you could get it in without slicing the tube (maybe some electrical tape wrapped around the edges) it might work out well and not look too shabby either.

Might work. Who's got their DIY-ness fully charged? I took the MTB out today, getting it ramped up for a wintering. Corplast fenders will once again be in effect I think. I peeked at the store formerly known as loomis for plastic sheeting I might use for wheel covers, they had stuff at 23inches wide..sooo close.
