Back on the ATACs this morning ... they definitely feel more solid but I'll have to get used to not being able to clip-in by pulling my foot back like I could w/ Eggbeaters.

Keith, do you guys have any 46T 110BCD rings in stock? Say ... FSA?

I don't have any in the system but I will have a better look later today.

Hey Kergin...your stem is in.

I got me some XT thumb shifters :)
Yes, I am happy about used 18 year old parts.

TRaffic Jammer 02-10-09 11:18 AM

Ye Olde XT Thumbs I think were one of the best shifters EVER, mounting upside down? ;)

Anyone know a person with a white frame, green rims (deep v's?), risers and a front (and maybe rear) disc brake. It definitely wasn't fixed. It might have had an internally geared rear hub, or it could have been a SS.

That's Everet from Curbside... It's a Biomega Copenhagen with an 8 speed nexus internal hub (I think) and a shaft drivetrain... I took it out for a spin last summer and it was definitely an interesting ride. The shifting is flawless and having ridden fixed almost exclusively for a while now stopping on a dime the way that thing did confused my body.

Nope, both on the right, just how I like 'em :)

Awesome. Thanks Matt.

So, in agreement with facebook and contrary to the dufferin grove website, the ice race is on the 21st at 9-11. Registration at 8:30 and it's 10bucks. Party with the pirates apres-race. yarr.

TRaffic Jammer 02-10-09 03:11 PM

tanks man!!!

I_bRAD 02-11-09 09:49 AM

People are going to be so shocked and dismayed when it goes back to -10 and snowing...

exhibitx 02-11-09 10:42 AM

I don't know, people still seem fully committed to winter.

It's 8 degrees out and 90% of the people I see are wearing winter hats, thick gloves, scarves.

Then there's the 1% who are wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts.

I was out in shants with a sweater and no gloves last night and saw people who must have been going ice fishing they were wearing so much stuff.

I cannot recall who was looking for a cheap KHS Flite but there is a used 53cm one on the London Kijiji for $400; not the best price but maybe you can talk him down...

That was me! Thanks for the heads-up...53cm is too small for me (I need a 60) but I appreciate it dude.

Had to head east to work from my girlfriend's place. Probably the only time I can remember coasting and feeling the wind causing me to accelerate drastically. Couple gusts coming from the north at University almost sent me off the road though

TRaffic Jammer 02-12-09 08:31 AM

Sure was interesting going West into the core. I was commuting AND exfoliating all at once!
If you are indeed planning to go to Mtl for the Ice Racing this weekend, check your sources, varying degrees of it's on, no it's not. Seems the park may have pulled out but, messengers being messengers they aren't going to allow something like no official venue stop the rolling party. So check it out with your MTL contacts .... just in case.

With the sun shining soooo bightly today, thoughts turn to what to ride. Have a look at the recent post on Fixed Gear Gallery - EuroBike 2008 show
