So cool beans! I just found out my Miele is made of Columbus SL and was manufactured in 1990. T-Mar is a ridiculous resource.

I_bRAD 04-29-09 07:00 PM

What is tmar? Do you just plug in your serial number at a website somewhere? I've got a few miele frames I wouldn't mind carbon-dating...

vainglorious 04-29-09 07:02 PM

T-Mar's a member here.. total wealth of knowledge when it comes to serial numbers and such!

Man, whoever said Yonge st. north of Eg. is awful a few pages back wasn't wrong... I used it to connect Broadway to Glencairn as I was heading home via Yorkdale, good grief it was horrible. Glencairn is lovely as always to ride across, though.. so that and my date made up for it ;)

Stopped by Lake Devo tonight but I guess DSR starts at 8 rather than 9 these days, so I bimbled home shortly after realising I wasn't going to see anyone.

exhibitx 04-29-09 08:04 PM

i don't think there was a DSR ride tonight, ryan has been sending out the times lately but is in costa rica

Operator, I have witnessed you crank like you have the legs of an Olympian, how far back should nose of saddle be over the BB?

Rofl - it's more where your ass sits on the saddle. Neutral the seat on a regular setback seatpost and go from there.

Hrm, will a 27" tire fit on a 700c rim? I think this Elite thing is a 27" rim...

Only if you like blowouts. It should be really loose on a 700c rim, if it'll hold it at all.

Go to court and show receipt for bell purchase on date of ticket = walk.

Dear used market guys,

My warranty replacement Devinci Tosca frame came in. I checked the geometry and it's still not the best fit for my no-torso/long-legged self so I'm going to sell it and put that money toward at Ridley.

My question to you is what's a reasonable asking price? Brand new aluminum CX frame, hand-made in Quebec. Comes with a used carbon fork (aluminum steerer tube, disc brake tabs) and a used Ritchey Pro integrated headset. Please toss some numbers out that you think would be fair (for me and for potential buyers).

Thanks!

50% of retail for the original frameset. You got a couple of years out of that, right?

operator 04-29-09 09:26 PM

Why does it come with a used fork eyefloater

shapelike 04-29-09 09:48 PM

... because Devinci didn't replace my fork when I broke my frame?

Hrm. That'll take some research. It was a 2006 ... okay, retail for just the frame was $550.

What size is it shapelike?

trueno92 04-30-09 07:21 AM

wow finding a used rear wheel legit is HARD in toronto.

went to the usual suspects:
George (parts unknown)
Mike (the bike)
they both pointed to:
Shannon (no zombies)

and yah, no one wants to give up a round, non-damaged rear wheel.

i guess they hang on to them and install them onto bikes to flip... no qualms there, i mean if that was my income, i would do that, too.

What are you looking for again? A 27" wheel? I have two with 5-speed cassettes on them - they're off old heavy bike-boom era bikes, but if you need one you're welcome to take. Let me know.

Medium: http://www.d4m.com/axion/devinci/anc...eset-tosca.pdf <-- geometry hasn't changed.

shapelike 04-30-09 09:29 AM

Pyze, can I pick up those parts tomorrow after work maybe? Then I can swing by Cycle Solutions on the way home and get any other miscellaneous giblets that are required.

Nah I don't have any spare 700c wheels. Just the two 27" rears.
