Dude he's on a fixie. That's like fightin' a one armed man.:p

STEEKER 05-10-06 03:32 PM

this was my third day for fixed riding I can only stay at 40K nothing faster and getting bounced off the seat each time I switch position on the saddle

Close but not it Som, it was an electronic device that would overlay a healthy pattern over the brain as it were. Not like a person training their brain. I read it in Wired a couple years ago I think, it made my eyes go pooiiiing!!!!

This where the ceaseless spinning comes into effect. How's the gearing coming off a stop? Pretty darned good for three days, I'm afraid how apparently bad my pedal stroke has become over the last dozen years once I get on a fixie. That is a bonus for us older guys is if we've been workin on a smooth stroke it becomes muscle memorized over the course of say .... 15+ years. It had better

STEEKER 05-10-06 04:03 PM

I am runnng 42x16 and comming off a stop is ok but I am tired since I have'nt been able to work out for a year and a half.............. I just got a kinky PM

That's funny because I remember kicking a certain geared ass on some hills during a CV ride and hearing cussing on my way past. :)

I'm not the competitive type btw, so you're barking up the wrong tree. Just thought I had to give you a taste of your own medicine. :P

Brain music? Me and a friend were going to make a brain-music generator once... we found plans on The Internets. :)

40kph? Dude, if you can do 40kph on a 42x16 then you're doing alright. :) I think my fast-cruising speed with 46x16 is probably more like 30-35kph, but without a computer it's hard to tell

NOS CXP 30s, perhaps? I think those were about 30mm deep.

Edit: Here's a CXP 30 front for $15USD w/ 4 hours left on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Front-wheel-Shim...ayphotohosting
