I've got open pro with formula hubs that are working out quite well. You're free to take it for a spin if you want to see what they're like. Unless he doesn't have any left, Keith can set you up with all the parts.

Team-only 68mm carbon tubies for Sacha White's (aka. Vanilla Cycles) Speedvagen team (http://www.speedvagen.com/) with new King cyclocross hubs (in team-only turqoise):

That's a spicy (deep-dish) meatball!

Also, Chris King himself, flippin' burgers:

Looks like another busy day at work eh Wes? :D

Hey guys I've been cleaning my room and I found a little bit of Charlie-related hilarity that I thought I should share with everyone. Chris, you may remember one time at Cavern on a Friday some months ago, you gave me your recipe for dumplings after making them with your class? Charlie was there and I'm pretty sure at least a few more of yous were there as well. Anyway Chris wrote his recipe out on a little square of paper from a scratch pad Keith had on the counter in the shop. A couple of minutes Charlie handed me another one of those slips of paper with what he described as "another great recipe". Here's how it reads:

Recipe: Krunk

12 Beers
1 Drugs
3 Krunk

Combine beers, drugs and krunk in stomach.
Wait 30 minutes.
Let cool 2 minutes.
Serve

a) My current #1 project has involved approximately 42 hojillion changes. I receive changes, I make changes, I send them to the client for comments.. lather, rinse, repeat. Lots of 10-20 minute blocks of time where I can't get any real work done. so yay for goofin' off! :D
b) Dude, it's Interbike time.. how could I *not* check ye olde bike news websites? bike pr0n everywhere!

somnambulant 09-25-07 05:26 PM

Flimflam 09-25-07 07:48 PM

Holy tubulars batman, those are nuts..

Thanks Brad, I'd like to check it out - seems I might be able to get my Open Pros after all (I've been quietly drooling over the idea for my roadie, but I'd have to change the drivetrain I think - old Japanese 7-speed cassette apparently causes me a problem).

Came a good 1-2" away from a dooring tonight, going between lined up traffic and parked cars at Bloor/Bathurst - as I saw the door open right in front of me I let out a big scream and I was past it, I felt myself move left as I tensed up, but obviously missed it... have to review the camera footage for that one ;)

Movie night at Keiths? I'm still in, I can bring some Simpsons too if we want some bike-relief (holy ****, what am I saying?)

Oh God. That brings back memories. This guy Ralf from Germany was saying to me while we were riding in Dublin: "Whatever you do, don't get hit by one of those (door). So much pain." How right he was. Strangely prophetic too.

I might not be able to make it on thursday. I'm going to be back in Mississausage (yes that is an intentional typo) for a check up. I may end up staying the night, spending time with the parental units etc. Put me down as a firm "maybe". :)

You can build the open pros to whatever hub you want. So a seven spd cassette would not be an issue.

Hmm good point. I guess I could always do this and get my roadie looked at, there are a few odd things about it that worry me (creaks/movements/knocks).

The near-door video is here, not so great - I was too close to the car for the camera's view point.. but:
