dude.. the brown is awesome! I mean, without seeing the condition up close of course. Not so big on gold anything, personally, so I'm a little biased. :)

Offhoff 05-11-06 12:53 PM

I'm almost definately gold leafing the drop outs, I think it'll look amazing with the brown. The rest is more up in the air I've been playing with photoshop alot trying to figure out what would look best but that will likely have to wait until the end of the season when I can take the bike apart again. Too busy riding it right now.

jeremywhitehorn 05-11-06 12:54 PM

yes, back to bikes, let's stay on track. i have a bike related question: anyone know where i can pick up a pair of riser bars that have a fair amount of sweep to them? not quite as much as your typical english three speed bars but close. like on one "marys" if you get my drift...

Come on, i lobbed that one up for you, a home run pitch!

if you get a pair of those i want to check em out. i think i'd want to trim them down a bit, they're 65cm wide!

Yeah, definitely would need some trimming, especially now that I'm used to road bars and the ability to squeeze through small spaces in traffic. hehehe.

Won't you be trimming off the grip?
The bar totally won't have the same characteristics will it?

I'll trim straight bars to shoulder width or even hip width to give me a natural reference point.

according the specs from on one, the grip section is made extra long for adjustability, trimming or what have you.

TRaffic Jammer 05-11-06 02:03 PM

didn't see that part
I looked at the picture of the bars mounted .... they didn't look like they would sweep that far forward.

operator 05-11-06 02:04 PM

So who's buying a UTW bag? I should've gotten the messential over the flyaway. :/
