As for the donation, unless Eyefloater says otherwise, you should should probably give him the full amount. With the un-entered donations I have sitting at home I'm nearly up to my goal so he needs it more, unless I've missed something.

You and your damn network of co-workers/family ... my own mother and sister haven't even donated cash ... doesn't help either that I work at a shop w/ 4 other FFL riders who are all struggling w/ their own fund-raising efforts. I think tomorrow I may have to show up on Church Street for a few hours and pedal away on a trainer/beg for cash. Keith, I'll need to borrow those hot pants you wore to Forest City. They looked like real money makers. ;)

TRaffic Jammer 06-23-06 08:17 AM

Eyefloater, sexing it up for charity. *sigh* what's the world coming to? Better shave.....
Just an idea..... can't the store sponsor the bunch of you and use it as a corporate tax write off. Any accountant/tax people in the house? A few bike banners to put Cycle Therapy's face out there and you have a CT sponsored FFL team. Or are you gonna dust em everyday? You and Soman stage racing your way to MTL? <-- that's the way I wanna do it, balls out hard for a week.

This week-end is chock-O-block full of kids birthday parties and thingies. I'm riding the rocket back and forth almost the entire week-end. Starting with cirque du soliel tonight

sweep242 , how did the Blantire road work out for you/ and nice pic with Cesar/ ,,,,Operater your pic is up

Somnambulant - i got your message last night. i have to appologize for being a bit of a tool; i had my bike shorts on and everything then decided to wimp out and read my argentina guide book instead. i hope you indeed put your name on that beer and drank it. we need to figure out a system of keeping beer cold in a messenger bag or backpack. my initial thoughts would be to fill a large camelback resevoir with ice, put beer and resevoir in plasitic lcbo bag and voila. or, do you thing a bottle or two would fit in the resevoir itself?

CT's taking a huge financial hit for the rally to begin with. Anyone doing the rally that buys a bike gets a deal or a 10% (of new bike value) pledge toward their fundraising, we did something like 50 fitting sessions for people after hours, we're doing all the wrenching during the ride/after each stage ... that and one of the owners already shelled out $50 from his own pocket for me (come to think of it, so did one of the others).

So ya, they've done their share and then some. ;)

I think another thing I can do today is hit up some of the photographers I used to assist/do retouching for. Those rich bastards can certainly pony up for a decent amount of cash.

okie's if Eyefloater cleans my bike naked for my sister it's a deal

TRaffic Jammer 06-23-06 08:46 AM

Eyefloater.... this sounds kinda dodgy^^^^^^ get the money first and have your pimp waiting outside.

God DAMNIT!

TRaffic Jammer 06-23-06 08:48 AM

Better for his sister I suppose... maybe you can negotiate to those hot pants?

eyefloater 06-23-06 08:53 AM

*begins working on obligatory "(pedal) STROKING FOR CASH" sign to hang around neck*

Offhoff 06-23-06 08:54 AM

I'd bet you'd fundraise a record amount if the cat calls I got just bombing down church last night is any sign.

STEEKER 06-23-06 08:59 AM

Honestly , Eyefloater if you put a ride for life sign on your back and rode down church with just a thong, you would make a TON of cash big time man, and I would join ya but my hernia would make people run away

I have a trainer you can borrow if you want. Church St. hammering on a trainer in a banana hammock doubles my pledge. Photo evidence is required.

:roflmao: that is a good idea, I'll take the pic's and I believe there would be plenty to vollenter for towel duty:love:

towel duty yes, someone should probably also be hosing him down periodically. this is starting to sound a bit like a fixed gear version of an erotic dunk tank.

Offhoff 06-23-06 09:39 AM

I did see a guy recently at winston churchill park hammering on a trainer in the middle of the field, its seemed very pointless when you could well just ride a bike.

gboy 06-23-06 09:40 AM

Gah! Lousy friends put chocolate in my helmet and then wouldn't let me sleep over, so I had to bike the open roads back home north of the city. Thanks to steeker's pringles I had enough fuel left to make it.

well put Xlax in your friends coffee for payback:) glad you had a safe ride

TRaffic Jammer 06-23-06 09:44 AM

Is there a way we could slowly trailer him and his training rig up Church? People could toss money in as he rolls up the street. A big FFL sign and a bunch of other riders as security. It sounds so crazy it just might work. If he did this pre-parade and or during the parties that night, he could make all 2K in a day. He needs a set of angel wings though.

ziploc bag + ice. I also put the beer bottles inside of big woolie socks to keep them from clanking together and/or poking me in the back.

Shiznaz 06-23-06 09:55 AM

I think people would pay more to see eyefloater dressed up as a bicycle and then have steeker ride around on him in an ass flosser. Its also that much more homerotically humiliating!

eyefloater: it's a good thing we were out riding hard last saturday: Check out the air quality readings for that day, and look here for comparison purposes.

i'll have to get some of those big ziploc freezer bags. i'd probably go with cans for safety. nothing worse than warm beer.

TRaffic Jammer 06-23-06 10:12 AM

Close, for me though busted glass in your spine is worse. I like the woolie idea, those freezer ziplocks are the bomb.... how about some of those blue freezer things? That way your not dealing with bags of water to deal with.

The sound of clicking beers as you ride past the police is a heat score.
