look at the baby jerry! i hope the baby isn't ugly, then you have to lie and say it's cute or what have you when sometime they just look like mouldy figs...

luckily, this friend isn't one of those in-your-face-breastfeeding-on-the-subway kind of people.

I witnessed a walking & talking 2.something year old breast feeding last weekend. Disturbing.

i don't consider myself and insensitive person but that just seems plain wrong. if they can ask for it, they're too old to breastfeed. or if they have teeth...

gokiburi 08-30-06 09:17 AM

i was walking along king/spadina for my morning coffee this morning and spotting a busted post/ring lock, the ring perfectly cracked right down the middle amid broken splinters of 2x4. i'm pretty familiar with the bikes locked up in that area and i'm sure no one locks up anything really high-end there. called the number to report damage post/rings and left a message. it's the first one i've seen.. steps away from my ***ing work!!!

I am working on it for Royal Astronomical Society of Canada not a school thing , I work on it in my observatory and sometimes I pack a small travel telescope with all the gear in the bike trailer and drive the bike out to the spit . off to work later

I'd love to do some observing some time.. as long as it's not too far past my bedtime. ;)

i'm reporting this post to a moderator for lack of bike content.

somnambulant 08-30-06 01:15 PM

wheel building peeps: is it much harder to build a wheel with a low spoke count vs one with a more standard #? I've never built a wheelset before, but I'm considering building up a bling track wheelset this fall. Is it stupid for me to build my first wheel with say 20 spokes? :)

and on a similar note, is it stupid to build a track wheel with a low spoke count?

edit: it appears as though track hubs don't come in anything lower than 28-spoke. :)
