Whose doing her back eyefloater? Is it an actual classical japanese scene or just inspired by that style? My best friend had energy wave wings done by hand on her back by Daemon at Urban Primitive. Each session was 8 hours long but the end result was probably the hottest tattoo I've ever seen.

Just hope she doesn't get into brands, healing one of those is a process I don't wish to witness again.

CV: Sorry I didn't make it last night but lets hope round 2 is easier for me to get out too.

I like the across the shoulder tat...that's where my "Rude Boy" should go for me. Also in gothic.

I saw some awesome metal looking stuff on a guys elbow a few years ago..... I can't afford that super kinda work. I'd love to create some cybernetic looking stuff using shadows to create depth and relief.

Steeker ... why you want a sock company across your back though? just teasin' G.

I'll check with my wife as to some more reasonably priced athletic wear.
Can we submit files to the wool jersey people for the logos? Nice shirts.
(personally I'd rather get some form of tech wear screened locally, but that's just me.)

i think they can do a one colour logo, nothing too fancy. me, i prefer wool because polyester jerseys smell funny after riding for 10mins and wear out fast. a nice wool jersey lasts forever. and if there was a custom maker that did wool locally i'd go for that too but i don't know of one in toronto.

Is wool like comfortable?

Offhoff 06-13-06 08:30 AM

Depends on how good the wool is. I have cheap wool sweaters I can't wear without a long sleeve shirt underneath. However, I also own some very nice wool sweaters (rappha quality level) that feel like silk against the skin. I'd be weary of buying any sort of wool jersey without being able to feel an example first. Wool has a HUGE quality curve, as do all natural fibres.

I'll do my best to come tonight if it starts at 8pm, my back is a little sore from BEATING!! Operater down that road and another part is tender from doing the eyefloater

the expensive australian "merino" wool that the portland cyclwear people use, yes. feels like cotton but is still warm when damp and doesn't stink like polyester. plus it look damn classy. i just bought a nice wool jersey but stupid me i tore a hole in the back when washing it. anyone know how to patch a knit-wool jersey?

cheap wool like the army surplus long-johns is scratchy and gives me a rash.

Dude ... put it this way.
I've got a relic of an Italian wool jersey, probably older than you.
It's a bit on the smaller size *pats tummy* but it is still comfy and warm.
Wool is awesome if it gets wet in that it still traps heat. (Picture sheep in the field in the rain).

Jeremy's point about polystank is well taken.

jeremywhitehorn 06-13-06 08:50 AM

check this out, a couple of videos for you burgeoning trackies. this one shows the shoulder-bumping and grinding that goes on in keirin, this one has one mad crash.

thanks. i meant to also mention that polyester feels plenty clammy if the temperature drops and you're sweating. i can't stand that, but that's just me.

TRaffic Jammer 06-13-06 08:55 AM

true dat

operator 06-13-06 09:04 AM

I dunno guys, my 50% poly RNH jerseys never really stink (I hope not). That keirin guy got a free win.

then you must be emitting rose water out your sweat glands. i don't want to show up to work smelling like a B.O. factory in a polyester jersey. actually i just smelled myself (in polyester sugoi jersey) and i do stink.

STEEKER 06-13-06 09:21 AM

Then the Keirin races to the pub's bathroom....etc etc....

I got some polyester underwear... they are the bomb. Beats cotton as far as nastiness goes any day. If you ever go camping polyester underwear are a god send because you can just jump in the water with shorts and undies whenever you like and you dry off in minutes.

but yes, all synthetic sports gear (and non-synthetic as well) has a tendency to stink. The more breathable and wicking it is the more the stink particles have a chance to be stored and emitted into the atmosphere. And Rob, I'm willing to get your bike shirts smell bad, but I'm not willing to prove it.

I prefer micro fiber for the summer and boxers for winter the micro fiber is like a mini AC unit in your crotch wisks the moister away
