whose bike got crunched at CM?

STEEKER 07-01-06 01:38 PM

one of the regular CM'ers I saw the whole thing and got a picture of the plate but what pissed me off is the cop refused to do anything about it but they got his badge number

Guys, is there any non discolouring cleaner that'll take off grease stains off ballistic nylon?

aaawwwwww man did you sh*t the bed again

jeremywhitehorn 07-01-06 02:18 PM

a note to you west enders: there is a great cycling friendly coffee shop on roncesvalles called "cherry bomb". sort of a jet fuel vibe, cycling literature for sale and a custom Alcyon 'cross bike hanging on the wall. i think it belongs to the owner. decent espresso, latte, etc. anyway, nice place to hang out.

Nice scoop, thanks. I'll go pretty much across town for good mud and love trying new places out.

I use this Pink Solution stuff from Costco; it's made from seaweed by a Canadian company from Vancouver.

Sounds like a good place to have another meet up. We haven't all met up for coffee in a long time. Maybe Monday?

Jeremy: do you know if they're open on Monday?

He changes the bike once a month or so, I guess he collects bikes. He had a nice old Cinelli up before and a Mariposa before that. Lots of bike nerds hang out there too, oh yeah, he had an old CCM track bike with wooden rims ages ago, it was very nice.

Definitely. Nice ride home to cap it off. We could plan another gathering for when the race hits the mountains. Well, off to exotic Peterborough for a few days. Cheers till then.

somnambulant 07-02-06 08:00 AM

it was our pleasure! (goes to scrub muddy footprints off floor :P)

operator 07-02-06 08:01 AM

the goround was wet last night but i don't remember me getting wet

TRaffic Jammer 07-02-06 08:04 AM

Kim didn't make you put plastic down for the biking bretheren? Sounds like a keeper. There seems to be some "special needs" when dating a rider. Like now for example my family knows I control all forms of electronic communication during the Tour. Dang looks like a fun stage today, hot though. The dreams of a young messenger being played out once again. *sigh* quickly goes over my 'what-if' list. Seems to be a bunch waering bandages though.... I missed that crash, oh well maybe tonight I'll catch it.

So I took the bandages off this morning and had a shower; my injuries seem to be healing nicely and aren't that bad actually considering how much blood I saw.
