Good to see you flimflam! Almost didn't recognize you without your lucas brunelle gear on... ;)

P.S Soon to be mine - 2x 16h Campy shamals 38mm aer0 NOS. Pending permission from rider - will be posting power info from donut ride, lead group soon. So you can get an idea how 1337 you need to be to keep up.

somnambulant 01-07-08 07:11 PM

neat! That'd be interesting info, op.

Listen, I'm trying to pretend that Yeti doesn't exist (ditto on the teal 575, even though I saw one in the flesh with Industry9 wheels at Cycle Solutions tonight along with Emma's hot pink one). I ask you kindly to refrain from posting any more Yeti pornography in this thread.

These wheels better be something else, cause you're pumped about them :D

FYI / too late - cycle solutions was having a 25% off sale on old inventory < 2008; I snagged me a Cinelli Alter stem.

Price: $27

I think the Darwin Award for 2007 goes to those kids teasing the tiger at the San Fransisco Zoo on Christmas Day, but these guys get a close second. Or maybe it should go to all of humanity because we have really screwed something up if I can ride on January 7th with only a thin shirt on and no gloves. Damn.

in the words of chris rock "you CAN do anything...you can drive a car with your feet if you want to, it doesn't make it a good f**king idea!"

I'm desperately trying to cling onto - get this - the fact that it doesn't have a 31.6mm seatpost as a reason for not wanting it ...

PS. The shapelike style guide dictates that all steel frames will have 27.2mm seatposts while all carbon and aluminum frames will have 31.6mm posts.

Yes, but I've been completely dry for cycling torrents (cyclocross) since Demonoid went down. If anyone finds a reliable site, do be a dear and fire off a PM please.

TRaffic Jammer 01-08-08 08:21 AM

I don't need a real to not want the Yeti. You know Keith that might just fit the bill if the bill can fit the budget. WhyTF not right? 42 years old why not go for the brass, I'll not be able to enjoy a nicer competitive ride any more than I can now... those years are looooong gone  Considering the pedigree of Yeti, and the components, it's not that expensive over all.

shapelike 01-08-08 08:29 AM

Live the dream, Andrew. Live the dream.

TRaffic Jammer 01-08-08 08:41 AM

Ok...I will. You'll hate me how much this fall if?

duppy.conqueror 01-08-08 08:59 AM

that yeti is bosssssssssss! do it andrew!

shapelike 01-08-08 09:02 AM

No more than I hated every other fast ******* out on the courses. ;)

TRaffic Jammer 01-08-08 09:14 AM

frik, it's a sexy mother...damn you Keith. *shakes fist at the sky*

somnambulant 01-08-08 09:27 AM

If they hadn't sold out of the '07 framesets before I tried to order one, that's what I would have been riding. I say go for it if it's in the budget. It's actually a pretty damn good price considering that it includes an EC90x fork and a king headset. Go for that $999 '06 Chorus build kit that Competitive Cyclist is offering while you're at it. ;) Actually I have no idea if that's a good deal or not, but it's flashing at the side of my screen right now.

jeremywhitehorn 01-08-08 06:47 PM

i had my first bit of road rage in a while. this guy in a BMW buzzed by me on dundas, had to be going at least 60km/hr so close i could feel the slipsteam from the side of his car. i sprinted to catch him at a red light and banged on his window to tell him to slow down, watch where he was going, etc. he just sort of stared at me blankly and said sorry, sorry, "lets tell this guy what he wants to hear so i can be on my way" and so on. like i was speaking to a nodding statue. i didn't feel as if i could convince him how scared he just made me for his life. didn't have time to come up with a priceless reaction like TJ's snowball in the window. maybe next time...
i should have written down his license #. didn't someone say you could file a dangerous driving with the cops? zippered was that you? i can't remember.

operator 01-08-08 06:47 PM

lols. Ikea bike.
