if anyone has to sell, old new, used, usable? |
Co-worker comes up to me this morning, says;
"I saw you yesterday riding down jarvis. I was in a car behind you and wow, you were everywhere a car or pothole wasn't. There'd be a car stopped in front of me and suddenly you were in the other lane like the other cars weren't even there". Made my morning :) |
My co-workers try to run my over :(

Wicked. If you don't need them, I would love them and can pick them up by the weekend. You are still in the east end?

One of mine almost did a few months back.
I feel like drivers have been better these past couple months though. I don't know if they haven't gotten a chance to get sick of cyclists yet because it's spring, or if maybe people are finally becomming resigned to the fact that bikes belong on the road and nobody cares whether you like it or not. Either way I'm feeling less hostility out there it seems |

Is the rear hub a freewheel or cassette? I might be interested if the latter.

[QUOTE=Herbie_Glick;8865330]Longest night ever......well worth it in photos.
Doin great. I use o2 a lot but we just picked up Lezyne pumps and they are awesome. With a hose attachment and double pump pressure too! Checked out the Lezyne, they are beauties. Do you know of anyone who carries a selection of the compact ones here in Toronto - or did you grab it off the web? |
I just realized, I don't know how to quote properly, is there a button I'm missing?
|
bikes on wheels carry lezyne

What kind. I have v-brake levers and a set of cross levers I don't need.
I plan to be running them on side-pulls.. old, really really sketchy sidepulls, let me know how much you would like for them! |

Ziggy seems like a pretty good guy. Anytime I am in his shop he is very friendly and he always sets up a booth on Roncesvalles during the Polish Festival with $3000 bikes for everyone to gawk at.
|
I had a blast workin' the Toronto Crit for him last year, I'm down like Charlie Brown if he needs Meat Pylons/flaggers/marshals for cross champs.
|
bah! gonna hit up bike pirates sometime today for levers, arrh matey!
|
HAPPY BDAY TJAMMER :bday:
so how many beers you gotta drink today? 16? 21? ;) |
Oh snap! Happy birthday, buddy!
|
Happy Birthday TJ!
Trueno, I have some cross/in-line levers, if you don't find anything at Pirates, pretty sure they're 24mm Specialized somethings. Kickass to hear about the 'cross Nationals being here, that's huge :D |
so the giro is being streamed on http://www.universalsports.com (starts saturday with the team tt)
hopefully they don't block canadians since it's not licensed in canada, but who knows, they say they geo block some videos |
hope you're having a jammin' day, andrew!
story from today: northbound on bathurst, crossing adelaide. notice a new advanced light for pedestrains. i check for traffic, and proceed through. halfway across, a traffic cop pops out of no where. him: "hey, you!" me: "hey, pedestrain light!" *pointing* him: "C'MERE!!" me: *zoom* /yeah right thank goodness for mirrors to check behind. he's not on a bike, so he can't follow. did he really expect me to hurry over and beg for an argument/ticket? those of you know my commuter set-up know that it's by-the-book and then some. plus i've gone all conservative in my old age and actually make a practice of vehicular cycling, which includes stopping at red lights. but a pedestrain light? heck no! i'm not polluting the air damnit, i feel totally entitled to the few crumbs of priviledge i can eek out of urban riding. so what was the cop's damage? was it was because i so gracefully cut left around a right turning car so i wouldn't get hooked? did he want to know where i got my awesome-ly bright dyno hub light, but just happened have a drill sergeant manner of speaking? (in that case, i may have considered stopping.) or is what i did *gasp* against the law? because really, it seems like a gray area to me. it's one thing ticketing cyclists who say, speed along a side walk contra-flow at night dressed like a ninja and without lights. i just can't see how proceeding on a pedestrain advance (outside the crosswalk lines) is wrong. |
Vagabond! I shall report you to the proper authorities post haste!

if anyone has to sell, old new, used, usable? I've got a cane creek lever, left side, never used. They come in pairs when you buy them so the left one has been sitting in a bin for a while. Let me know if you want it. http://www.canecreek.com/images/othe..._cross_top.jpg |

Dont know anything about the boroughs although that seems a little more track geometry specific than the others. I think you would have a hard time going wrong with any of those though, most entry level bikes seem to be more or less equivalent. recommended current t.o. shops? or a link to a decent selection? while there is an irony of helping a t.o. friend from japan, unfortunately, having been here for the last many years, i am not as up-to-date with the local scene to know where to point him. :o |
