Cavernmech would you have in stock any of these items today:

1/8 KMC Chain
1" Headset
Spacers

It's a no nonsense, no frill's rim. They are decent if not a little pricey. Marinoni has all kinds of NOS tubular rims. NOS Ambrosio Hypothesis Silver at $70 per are a better option. I am considering either these or current stock Ambrosio Chrono F20 Durex...also $70 per. If I am feeling really cheeky I may go with Nisi Laser's. Mavic only offers the Reflex in a tubie here and I would consider something else for the $.

Ummmmm....spacers. I think I have one KMC chain left.
*hangs head in shame over woeful lack of current stock*

The C S3 Lite is the closest they have to a "track" clincher tubie. Still pretty damn light at 280 gms.

Wake up Steeker....yer dreaming online again.

Shiznaz 09-01-06 07:20 AM

I think having 2 big girls in the sack with me would be carrying a balsa wood plane and a couple of bowling balls in your messenger bag. I'm just a dainty lad!

edit: A nice Hochdeutsch accent on a girl can sound great, they just need to be able to speak without a totally ridiculously strong accent (which most can). Azzume ze pozition, ya? Alta...

STEEKER 09-01-06 07:21 AM

I have DONE THAT and loved it,,, BBW women rule you should try it

somnambulant 09-01-06 07:30 AM

eyefloater 09-01-06 07:30 AM

Hmm. Those F-20s are quite nice.

Damnit, I'm going down that road again ...

Without revealing too much of my whoring past....I disagree with the deutsch accent being arousing. Southern drawl? Oh yeah. Scandinavian inflection? definitely. Spanish accent? Damn straight. German? Maybe in a role playing scenario. Otherwise I will pass.
Balsa wood and bowling balls! Good analogy. And yes....big girls do rock.
Dura-Ace track hubs. That takes care of the SSFG content to keep me out of trouble with the mods.:D

eyefloater 09-01-06 07:39 AM

Oh God ... I could almost justify that: 7600s and tubulars. So light ... so smooth. *lights up*

STEEKER 09-01-06 07:46 AM

I have noticed a large amount of single speed bikes around the East end lately I miss mine .(somnambulant *sound of toilet flushing* ) now don't doubt others adventures with women just go out and try it

/me is running Sir Mix-a-lot's 'Baby got back' song!

...I like 'em round, and big
And when I'm throwin' a gig
I just can't help myself, I'm actin' like an animal
Now here's my scandal
I wanna get you home
And ugh, double-up, ugh, ugh
I ain't talkin' bout Playboy
'Cause silicone parts are made for toys
I want 'em real thick and juicy
So find that juicy double
Mix-a-Lot's in trouble
Beggin' for a piece of that bubble
So I'm lookin' at rock videos
Knock-kneeded bimbos walkin' like hoes
You can have them bimbos
I'll keep my women like Flo Jo
A word to the thick soul sistas, I wanna get with ya
I won't cuss or hit ya
But I gotta be straight when I say I wanna ******
Til the break of dawn
Baby got it goin' on
A lot of simps won't like this song
'Cause them punks like to hit it and quit it
And I'd rather stay and play
'Cause I'm long, and I'm strong
And I'm down to get the friction on
So, ladies! {Yeah!} Ladies! {Yeah}
If you wanna role in my Mercedes {Yeah!}
Then turn around! Stick it out!
Even white boys got to shout

somnambulant 09-01-06 07:58 AM

I didn't say I was doubting anything.. I'm just saying the conversation is quickly going down the toilet. :) A question for you though, steeker: how far do you need to go to properly see the sky at night (naked eye)? I know even in St. John's I needed to drive about 30 minutes outside the city to be able to see the milky way. I just saw this post on digg and it reminded me of some of the night sky views I used to be able to see occasionally (when it wasn't foggy): http://digg.com/space/Incredible_Pho...mmer_Night_pic

edit2: offhoff.. still waiting for an update! :)

somnambulant,, I can see the milky way faintly from the LeslieStreet spit and from any of the piers along the lake in the east end and from center island. but light pollution is getting worse so way up North or South to get a good view.. I can pick out Galaxies in my scopes from the backyard and did get a Quasar once. it ain't as good as from a dark site but you can do a TON of stuff from the city ,Planets, Asteriods,DoubleStars, cool picture I have that as a screen saver ;;EDITE:: LOT"S of naked eye stuff from around the City the clubs put on pubic viewing sessions all the time just check out the science center. you can bike up to any of the viewing sites.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd love to do a night ride someplace with some halfway decent viewing.. especially with a scope. Beer 'n stars ride? :)

Joe Bent 09-01-06 08:51 AM

I was surprised to hear a friend tell me that she has seen the Northern Lights from as far south as Wasaga on a number of occasions. That's on the list of things to do/see before I check out.

I saw the sky go red here in Toronto a few years ago and you still can see spikes from the norther lights in Toronto now and again and the sun is going to go active cycle again soon so we should be able to see some of it BUT not like you can from highway nine where it looks like wavey curtains of light AWESOME

One night we'll all meet and head out on the spit with travel scope before winter but most of the planets will be below the horizon so we could do a Lunar Moon tour if you want P.S it's ok to be high and look through my scopes but not on booze if they get knocked over I'd have to break your legs and through you in the lake:)

offtopic: I think I've asked this before.. but do we have any musicians in the house? I'm listening to Mono right now, and it's making me want to have an hours long reverbed out smokey jam session.. :P

edit: I have now moved on to more long feedback-filled instrumental rock, this time from Mogwai. :)

I have an Apple laptop at home, so that ain't gonna work. :) There's a bunch of unix/mac astronomy apps out there though, but I'm preparing to reinstall the OS on my computer so there's no point in putting new stuff on there right now.
