TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 07:45 AM

Opening shot....

Jordan at half court looking at the hoop with the defensive lineup lookin hard.
He does the lip lick and drives the lane in slo-mo.

Cut to Keith, ripping the financial a new one at rush hour, in slo-mo...
Cab comin' off the curb...obviously ignorant, angle shows just how in danger our hero is.

Sharp bleed to Jordan, the spin to drop a defender, watching the dribble, shoes in focus, and the underhanded dish to......
...Keith on the street.. gets a dribble or two, focusing on his nike gear, then he bounces the ball off the cabbies noddle to clear the lane, behind the back........

(toss in a couple kids skating on Nikes in the back ground as well...maybe a jogger somewhere, ped with Nike hockey bag)

....to Jordan for the big final slo-dunk/Jordan spaceman pose dunk.
Nike....way beyond basketball.

Shiznaz 10-06-06 07:53 AM

Then Tiger woods jumps out of his messenger bag and beats down the cabbie with a 2 wood

Oh....and the cab has to be a Royal cab....I hate those guys!

...then behnind the back pass to child labourers at a sewing machine; one kid catches it, three dribbles and is beaten for taking a break at work and cannot support his family of 10. end scene.

wow. a great deal if you've got skinny feet.

TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 08:34 AM

Hey man...people need 150$ runners too you know, those things cost almost 10bucks to make.. Shareholders need to get paid buddy...hahahahaha'

I gots me some skinny flippers, those are some nice ,shoes .... need insoles and a heel thingy for my new shoes.
Has anyone had difficulties getting their cleats in just the right spot.... I swear I'm adjusting down to a couple mm tolerances. Silly it is. My right one almost steadfastly refuses to engage the pedal bar useless I look. the left cleat, which seems to be about said 2mm further back on the shoe than the right, step, click. Wacky...

In a perfect world I would have been in an ad for Stephon Marbury's new sneakers. Sadly I took the $$ from a Evil corporate entity....a shame which is not lost on me. But in defense it did help me get a better stake in life.

TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 09:05 AM

I say, take it. Sell out if you get the chance. Moral higher grounds are for those with trust funds.
If you can better your lot in life then there is a better chance you will pay it forward in some capacity later on in life when you have the opportunity.

jeremywhitehorn 10-06-06 09:14 AM

don't get me wrong; i would have taken the money too. i have no problem taking money from a billion dollar giant, giving them some of mine - another story.

Shiznaz 10-06-06 09:21 AM

Sorry, who do you give your money too for 'safekeeping'?

Thats what I thought.

Its just how we roll in tha big six

TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 09:28 AM

If the gear is worth it then no, I'll pay. You won't see me wearing a 200$ pair of polymer spring loaded runners. EVER

operator 10-06-06 09:30 AM

I've been wearing the same shoes since like grade 9.

TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 09:40 AM

You are never setting foot in my house.....and if you do leave your shoes on.
/fundraiser for Rob's new kicks

are those your runners or your dress shoes?

Shiznaz 10-06-06 09:54 AM

I can't make a pair of walking shoes last for longer than a year... What the hell kind of clogs are you wearing rob?

My dunks are pretty (4.5 years I think) old but they are totally worn to hell without much sole left and torn up on the inside. They're not good for walking, and haven't been since about year 2.

Good quality boots will last forever though.

TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 09:55 AM

Time to hit the folks up for a new pair.

i try to do most of my banking with a credit union. it's a bit different doing banking (which is a nesessity) and shelling out scads of cash for what is essentially a status symbol.

operator 10-06-06 10:12 AM

I rotate between 3 pairs of new balances. They're awesome but not good for cycling :|
I've just been told that I can actually use spd* style pedals with my sidis so i'm looking for something cheap and/or used so I can go clipless!

Might be a bit of a pain with road shoes. The cleat will be sticking out the bottom of the shoe sole, just like a road cleat, only a bit smaller. Maybe grab some cheap MTB shoes? I got mine for under 50 bucks off ebay-they aren't very nice, but they work.

TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 11:02 AM

mine were 99$

http://www.velotique.com/shoe-mo.htm
No ordering and waiting... you gotta try your shoes on on-site IMHO.

Shiznaz 10-06-06 11:08 AM

Or try them on at a store and buy online (especially w/ sidis-- try them on at MEC so you don't feel guilty for going behind someones back as well)

TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 11:10 AM

^^^the force is strong in this one^^^

duppy.conqueror 10-06-06 11:16 AM

Yo Op why not check with floater as to whether they got any more deals on shoes...I got those minretts for 60 bux! wifey got a pair as well for spinning...pretty safe deal.

TRaffic Jammer 10-06-06 11:21 AM

It blows my mind the a brooks b-17 is the same price a brooks was 20 years ago. 100 bones
