This looks like the tandem that was on sale at the bike swap

And while this guy IS swallowing $150, can't you get this bike new from a store for around the same price? He is just saving you the premium of going to curbside to buy this years model.

probably. i suppose he is just aiming high in the hopes that someone will meet him in the middle...

EDIT: Shiz, to answer your earlier question about thin knobbies, i know that vittoria makes a cross tire in a 700x27 with a low profile tread which is tough as nails. i'll be using them for their third winter. not sure if they're skinny enough to fit on your frame with fenders.

Make a CL post undercutting the guy. Make sure to make refer to his listing as well. That would be sweet.

Yeah, I got those Syntace bars.
But they're scatched up (on one side) because "SOMEBODY" doesn't know how to "gently" remove stem from bars.

If you want to take a look at them, I'll bring them to CM
Ask "Somebody" how much he sold them to me for,
I shall flip it to you (if you so choose) for the same price.

does that mean you have to show up drunk or is it progressive?

STEEKER 11-23-06 10:54 PM

jet sanchEz 11-23-06 10:58 PM

I forgot to mention that I saw a "For Sale" sign on Igor's place the other day. I dunno if that is a good thing or a bad thing but it might mean the crackheads in the west end will have to travel further to unload their stolen bikes.

A quick question for those of you who have couriered in Toronto before....how bad is the job on your ride? Does your bike suffer a lot or just a little?

operator 11-24-06 01:41 AM

Shiznaz: ftw !

Igor must be diversifying his portfolio shurely.

As for the abuse your bike takes on the job that is kind of subjective. Obviously you will be increasing the mileage that the bike sees so there is that. Locking and unlocking 100 times a day can be harsh on the paint. As long as you take the time to regularly clean and service your ride I wouldnt say you will have big probs....particularly with a fixed. Do whatever you have to do to get full fenders set up....not only do you stay much drier and cleaner but the bike does also.

STEEKER 11-24-06 08:53 AM

THIS LISTING DOES NOT SEEM SUSPICIOUS AT ALL. IT APPEARS TO BE A BICYCLE SINCE IT HAS WHEELS. 30 DOLLARS

Last time I saw him, he was in the process of converting his GF's Yorkville house into a sort of bike junkyard. Gotta love that guy....such an epic a$$hole.
