And great road rides through the countryside are easily accessed, so that doesn't surprise me. Great views riding along the St. Lawrence around there.

Is that the Trek 1000? The link just goes to the Trek frontpage for me. I'd buy something used over that, that thing retails for close to 800$CDN, right?

Hehe, I just help out there with stuff I know I won't break. Stuff I can't do I leave for myself at home :P
At any rate. We're looking for donations of some more tools. In particular some

Tool Trays (that go on teh stands)
Digital Calipers
Set of jewelers screwdrivers
Shop Aprons (?)
Spare parts we never have enough of (but that's never really going to change)

Otherwise we got a lot of high zoot park stuff floating around in a fairly unorganized fashion. Also a nice hangout place (the only one I actually feel comfortable at). The rest of campus blows.

bah, that actually sounds like a great idea, as i'm getting wickedly out of shape but i've got to be up at 5 for school and have stupid sanitation homework so i'll pass.

Sorry about the link. But yes the trek 1000 - 2007 in flashy orange, i believe it is 800.00 & heck that’s not a bad price I think? I have not pulled the trigger just yet, maybe? gonna do a little more looking around. My finger is getting itchy!
Cheers

I have an old shopcoat you could likely cut into a funky apron if you're not fastidious. Or just leave it intact for that just out of the mechanic's pit look. And regards the crank, I'll be on campus Tuesday all day and Thursday morning. We could hook up for lunch on Thursday if that flies.

operator 10-02-06 05:58 PM

Trek = teh evil

Edit: Cavit8 I can meet you tomorrow for exchange of cranks + sh0pcoat

i think most of those $800 bikes come with sora derailleurs and shifters; my first road bike was set up like this and they kind of crapped out on me after serious distance. i'd say any bike with 105 is a safe bet.

EDIT: speaking of bianchis, i'm a big fan of the san jose.

A Robot 10-02-06 06:34 PM

Paging Mr. Cavern Cycles,

What's your price for an IRO Angus frame+fork, 53cm in white? I'd probably also be interested in a BB, headset and seatpost. Drop me a PM, thanks.
