loads lighter though..more speed, better launches, more air baby!!!!!

I think part of 'urban assault' is the ability to ride straight into a set of stairs and go up them without doing anything other than steering at the stairs... tougher on a rigid bike for sure!
|
We have a massive Boxxer at work that Dax picked up on a supplier close-out. He stuck it on his commuting hybrid w/ a 24" wheel (he ordered the wrong size). That'd be interesting to repurpose. I'll measure it up to see what it comes out at travel-wise.

Suspension is for wusses?
|
******** itunes you suck a$$ P.O.S!! u are evil....aggggggghhhhhhhhh
|
according to spec you've got the most-travel fork on the market with exception of some serious DH forks......5.75-7 inches...man people spend less on a complete bike....that's some fork.
|
Personally, I'd like to try out a bike w/ a 26" rear and 29er front. Good times. :)

That does sound kinda sick. Will that do anything wacky the the frames geometry/ride by adding three more inches to the front wheel?
|
is it wrong that i'm mad that my neighbour leaves a vintage bob jackson unlocked in his backyard?
mitch - nice work on the conversion. the custom brake arm extentions are a DIY marvel. why not fixed for the winter? |
^^^Yes Yes and Yes!!!!!^^^
Eyefloater so far..... http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/9...ator300wm6.jpg Please ignore FSA type-O |

Thanks for all the comments on the Elvish :)
I thought SS would be easier for the winter but now I'm starting the think otherwise :o Ronin2046- Sorry I don't have any other front brakes, I'll ask Chris if they've got anything at the shop. |
Traffic Jammer: Urban Assault? I'm down. I've got my planet-X ghost 1/2 built. All I really need is a pair of nice urban tires.
Mitch: nice elvish. CROSS?! Sometimes we see people in the don on cyclecross bikes .. we're like "Are you guys lost?" |
I don't think it could handle the don.
just knobby tires for the rain/snow cold weather. Edit: I'm down for some Urban freestyling :D |
^^^^I don't see crossin' that Elvish, it's an older road frame, treat it with respect^^^^
It's eyefloater who's lookin for some construction site action it would seem, my setup isn't cut for it at all. If I had a ride I could smash with another to daily on I'd be so on it. Daddy has only one bike. So Eyefloater... you'll need grind pegs as well for gnarly handrails....hey, you said urban. I'd totally agree with the Juicy's for gotta-stop-after-I-make-this-gap Would a 29 on the front make a difference when selecting seat post? Rode up to Yonge/Davisville and back nice......god it's nice out now. |

whew.. don't need a jacket, that's for sure.

[QUOTE=jeremywhitehorn]is it wrong that i'm mad that my neighbour leaves a vintage bob jackson unlocked in his backyard?
[QUOTE] No...No it is not wrong. Perhaps a friendly note attached to his bike would show him the error of his ways. Bob would not approve. |
Whee! I went to europe bound today to pick up some tubes. I got in a chat with brent and I brought up the tires I love that were discontinued. He said he might have a pair he took off a KHS so we dug through the huge pile of tires and found them! 30 bucks for the pair! Sweet!
I was thinking of picking up some other stuff like arm and knee warmers but I can't really browse down there, its just too jam packed and basement-y. Brent said they would have a stand at the bike show so I might check it out then. Oh apparently the owner of europe bound drives a hummer. BOO! |
When's the show again? A Hummer, that's twisted.
