If you're serious, I'm never talking to you again and you're officially banned from the shop. That, and I'm having sex with your mother right now.

Edit: Okay, so I'm not exactly having sex with your mother ... that part was made up.

Retract that. I have your travel well being in mind on such a momentous occasion as your imminent saw buck anniversary. Congrats btw.

ps I had to talk to K

joe bent: retracted. :)
traffic jammer: good story. :D I had to beat on a f'ing SCHOOL BUS this morning that has cut me off at least a half dozen times while driving down Harbord in the bike lane AND landed a nice loogie on the window of another car parked in the bike lane just as they turned to look at me. Once again I ask: why is it that inclement weather brings out the worst in drivers? They're seriously WAY worse on wet/snowy days than "safe" ones.

Does anyone want to trade a 16t 3/32 cog for a DA 1/8 one? Tired of this damn chain noise.

You got a fatty on the back & skinny up front, with a fat chain. May i suggest ear muffs?
Ha ha

& you have been told by 165!

Not really, he's just too slow to understand the (implicit) accusation in my post. And apparently so were...

:)

And the 1/8 stuff is working fine on the 3/32 chainring, it's actually the cog in the back that is producing 99.99% of the noise, not the other way around.

pitboss 10-17-06 08:12 PM

Say what you mean - enough double talk and "implicit" meanings. If you have a joke to tell or something of relevance to say, do so.

Let's go with "Mike" ... I've never had a nick/handle/alias/username/etc. that sounded remotely normal in real life, so maybe I should just rely on the old standard.

That or Big Baby Jesus.

BBJ has potential as long as I don't have to wear my hat backward, cross my arms and make gang signs as I say it. Any bites on the Brodie (raining I know, not exactly bike weather). Should I post it on CL ref to the shop or would you rather I didn't.

Feel free. We've got our big fall auction this weekend so I can put it on the block for you. Otherwise, just post it up on Craigslist. Let me know if there are any drastic pricing changes.

ps. It's mine and the lady's 10 year anniversary in January, hence the trip plans.

if you want to go a little further south i'd recomend argentina any day (as you may know). perhaps not as dirt cheap as some other spots in south america but nicely civilized, not americanized, no real annoying tourist culutre to speak of and nice and hot in january.

could be the lessened visibility or the distraction of the rain. i don't know.

RE: clockwork orange - i think that publisher designed all of their "modern classics" book covers in the minimalist-relates-to-the-theme-of-the-novel way. i still have never read that would you believe it. i'll have to see if i have a copy around here.

Not even the same colour as his stolen Brodie.

Both. I don't recognize the bike well enough to say either way, but check the seller's location.

Yeah, he is very close by, in Burlington. The bikes look similar and appears to be of the same size but yeah, hard to know for sure as I am sure many of these things were sold. Bummer.
