out in the country i'm super paranoid (don't know about the rest of you) so i end up carrying just about everything, even a spare tire (which these days is around my waist). |

Anyway, skating your bike for 10 km like a scooter is actually easier than I thought it would be, but people look at you funny. I never could quite understand masterlinks. I never used one for that fact. Thus I never had a busted chain. :) A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. 1/8 ftw |

Its gonna be the halloween CM on friday. I'm sure there will be festivities to be had afterwards, as well as the hundreds of halloween parties that are bound to go down in the city (I know of 4 so far).

One of my best "raw blinding pain" moments happened when a resident had to rearrange my intestines (from the outside) after a post-abdominal surgery mishap. Got an assload of demoral after that one though. The topper has to be the time a surgeon literally tore open a healing incision in my pelvis (about 5" deep) because it was closing up too quickly and they were worried about infection. Good times, good times. I've never broken anything "doing stuff," but damned if I don't hate hospitals. |
