I will pass on this one and let someone else make the innuendo jokes.

Despite his quiet, unassuming exterior, unbeknown to his friends, his PVC collection was one of the worlds' finest.

They're just trying to prevent young alcoholics from reaching maturity.

Call me a facist ("you're a facist!") but there should be rules against posting your ugly-ass fixies on FGG

ie: http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2007/jan/KSantos.htm

Same brand, but much better http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2007/jan/LeeLally.htm

I know, they probably love their bike, and that's all that matters, but I'm constantly disappointed when I go eagerly to look up some new hot bikes on FGG, and I get these beaters. Bah!

I kind of like that first one for it's wacky charm. Also, did you look at the bottom pic of the second bike? I think that's how it looks now. Ugh. In the description it reads that he created surface rust on purpose and then clear coated over it. Not the brightest idea.

operator 02-02-07 12:21 PM

Beaters ftw

pyze-guy 02-02-07 12:49 PM

Anyone have an used mtb v-brake lever they want to give me/sell cheap? i just stripped the threads mine. Woe is me.

Now you are really going to think I'm crazy. I liked that faux clear coated rust thing it had going on. Knowing he did it intentionally is kind of cool. If it was actually rust from neglect that would be a real turn off though.

I liked that faux clear coated...

operator, where are you. im at bikechain (tovi) and I think Im leaving by three, if you were going to come by

iherald 02-02-07 02:08 PM

Anyone have metal reflector mounts so I can make a drop bolt?

I_bRAD 02-02-07 02:17 PM

You can buy small pieces of steel at the hardware store, they're used to reinforce gates at stuff. I used some to attach a milk crate to my city bike- they're 3-6" long, 3/4" wide and about 1/16th thick. Sounds just about right for what you're after and they're cheap too.

That's a great idea!!! Thanks!

Does Shimone(sp?) from Curbside read BF? I rode past him on Yonge today and just wanted to say hi. Bloody cold out there!

And can anyone direct me to a cheap and/or used set of toe clips?

Shiznaz 02-02-07 04:50 PM

Shimon may or may not read BF, but he's posted here twice and robin said he would be visiting here more often. I've known shimon since JK!

Looks like fun!

Robin looks like the bike never had a scratch. It looks great.
& I think Mr. NJS is in the champagne room!

You can get a set from mec for like $10. Probably the best value out of these.

2wheelsgood 02-02-07 06:44 PM

Thanks!

Ya, the bike feels good, and so far I've been able to pocket the repair money. (Trued the wheels back myself...for now).

As for Shimon, I'll be sure to give him the old balls+knuckles for never coming on BF. I'm sure once school calms down he'll be all over this b*tch.

2wheels: I was totally like, "who's this guy? I work at CS", then I saw your bike. NOW I know! Love the colour scheme, but I've told you that before.
