Any show I enjoy I just get on bittorrent. I find it really odd that most people don't do that. Whenever I go home for the holidays I'm astounded at how much **** most people have to wade through just to watch a show. Of course, I have no idea what new shows are on, but by the time I find out about the latest/greatest, I can just download the whole first season in one go and have at it.

I watched that as well some familiar faces there, funny.
Cheers

I am not gifted concerning computers. That being said I had Shamil show me what to do with it today at the safety meeting. Downloaded itunes, got a usb charger. Everything works great I guess because, I don't know how to actually work anything yet.

I think that just exploded my secondary monitor.

What, no Blues Clues?

DrBenway 02-10-07 08:23 AM

I hear that. I got rid of my tv over 2 years ago now and never looked back. Much to the chagrin of my bosses at the tv station.

Anyone goin' out for a spin today?

Anyone know who sells kool stop pads in town? I'm looking for salmon cantilever (no-thread stud) to be specific.

I remember seeing those guys in the early nineties and thinking they were wicked cool. It must have been those endos. Certainly explains the whole hockey helmet and body armor thing though.

Doesn't Urbane have KoolStops?

I have a TV but only use it for DVDs; I too cannot wade through the crap just to watch a show I like plus I am hardly ever home so having cable never really made sense. I haven't watched television in about 10 years as well but I like Lost so I just downloaded it; no commercials or anything. Oh, Arrested Development is great too but yeah, downloaded it as well ;)

lol, that show sucked ballerds, painful in more than one way, the episode I saw was funny painful, the resulting elevator questions though...

(idiot looks up as you enter elevator)
"Oh, you're like one of those guys on Double Rush aren't you?" yehright

I wonder if the same ******s that ask me such things about dumbass tv shows and feel the rain or snow visible on my person needs to be confirmed as precipitation (rather than?) go about asking nurses if "you're like those people on ER, right?" or point at their mates (mores the pity, they do find them) while they're cooking and ask "oh, you're like that thing the guy Emeril do when do on the tube thing durrrrr...BAM BAM" How do they avoid choking on their shoelaces?

I called and they didn't have the unthreaded ones. Ended up picking up a set of red ones from MEC... I'll try those out. :)

Does it make me less of a man to lust after the Arkel Tail Rider trunk bag?

Seriously, never before in my life have I had an urge to put a rack on my bike, but that thing just kills me.

operator 02-10-07 05:03 PM

We now have a precise mathematical definition of "beer goggles".

http://www.syndicate.evilsoft.org/wo...s_equation.jpg

An is the number of servings of alcohol
S is the smokiness of the area on a scale of 0 - 10
L is the lighting level of the area, measured in candelas per square meter, in which 150 is normal room lightning
Vo is Snellen visual acuity, in which 6/6 is normal and 6/12 is the lower limit at which someone is able to drive
d is the distance between the observer and the observed, measured in meters

Source: http://people.howstuffworks.com/ref/beer-goggles.htm

And uh bikes something or other fixed gear blah blah

TRaffic Jammer 02-10-07 07:50 PM

p is the point at which you say ....damn Rob I was approached by this total hottie, I uh..think so I gave her your number ok?
math and beer goggles ...talk about taking all the fun outta life... that said I sure am glad I'm married, I'd hate to be dating now.

Hah, look at those glasses in part one. Doesn't Oakley make them? I knew I would see a cartoon character wear them before any self respecting human being.
