Elegant as only a bikini model toting an assault rifle can be. lol |
i recommend pho hung (the smiling cow) at NW corner spadina/st.andrew.. their noodles can't be beat. and you'll never meet a more sullen/rude wait staff. just part of the entertainment.

How long have you guys been riding fixed? I ask cause i'm wondering if anyone on here knows an old friend i used to messenger with back in 93/94 he was the first guy i seen riding fixed. he built a old ciocc, don't remember if it was a track or conversion. I don't remember his name but we worked for Blizzard Courier. ring any bells?

if cavernmech could pry himself away from online-hearts, i'm sure he might be able to share some pearls o' wisdom.

I have a few nice pics from a CM a while ago as it stopped right in front of Saigon Palace while I was stuffing myself. Got right in there on the ground and snapped a few. I'll look them up and post em somewhere.
|

They should pay me for all the word-of-mouth I've given them in the past couple years. :) |
so.. what's the deal? when are we doing noodles?

My ploy of telling everyone I am playing cards online is successfully hiding my midget porn fetish. |

Always like a few midgets in my porn too. |
So, it looks like I'll be at CM tonight for sure. Hopefully I'll see some of y'all there.
ps. noodles. when? my votes are either for late Saturday afternoon / any time on Sunday afternoon / tonight after CM. pps. I saw a guy on my way to work this morning riding some crazy ass aero frame... reminded me of this one from FGG. |
Here's a few shots from last years Aug CM
Please bear with me if this doesn't work. First time using flikr http://www.flickr.com/photos/1930799...7594069553438/ Ok this frame in the basement is driving me nuts. I can hear it at night whinning in the dark at night. It's keeping me up nights and getting into my dreams. Can anyone recommend a paint stripper that doersn't require a gas mask to use? I hear there's a decent one at Crappy Tire. |

I just wanted to say awesome job to the folks over at Biseagal. They did an awesome job converting my old trek roadbike into a soon to be mean as hell city bike. I highly recommend them for any sort of frame modification/repair.
Next stop is powdercoating, I'm hoping Bayers-Bush lives up to Cavernmerch's recommendation. Also have any of you guys chopped a brooks before? I've heard a grinder is one of the better ways of removing the excess leather, any suggestions? I think I have the basic ideas but any cool style tricks are greatly appreciated. |

There was Graham. he rode a white Miyata Track....he flys helicopters in South America now. And the most likely...Marcel. He had quite a few fixie conversions and if memory serves he did have a Ciocc. Not sure if he worked at Blizzard.

yeah the guys/gals at Biseagal are awesome, they converted one of my bikes two years ago, and I'd go back as soon as I find something suitable again for another conversion.
btw: those dropouts look dangerously awesome, what does the rest of the bike look like?

The rest of a bike is a mid to late 80s Trek 660, lugged Reynolds 531 frame. Its going to paint but once thats done I'll post pictures. Right now its all primer and chipped 20 year old paint.
