btw. for those of you who were at my place for my Tour de France get together, I've since moved, so don't show up at that address. I'm actually just across the street and down a few houses, but just IM me for my address.

I took a spill tonight at King and Bathurst. An SUV did a u-turn right in front of me and I barely dodged it; I had to turn into the curb and I hit it and bounced off. No damage at all to me or the bike but the elastic thingy on the little turtle light I use in the rear broke. Bummer. The funny thing is that it was about midnight and the SUV had no lights at all, not even day-time running lights, making me think it was someone up from the states who isn't really used to Toronto driving. And yeah, no signal of course.
I had two bottles of vodka in my pack which would have really pissed me off if they broke but nope, they are fine
Check that store just north of Pho Hung on the west side of Spadina, they have them. It is the store with all the baskets and kitchen-ware out in front, they have everything in that store at very cheap prices. A friend of mine bought a whole bunch of Hienkel knives there for half the cost that most of the majors price them at.

It's this kinda info I can only get on a forum about bicycles. Thanks jet & jeremy! And sorry to hear about your accident jet. I was out driving tonight and saw a bunch of odd cager maneuvers. Be careful out there.

Glad you're ok Jet. Ohh I hate u-turns. Where can I go downtown to sharpen skates? Going to city hall with my youngest and need to get the blades done first. **edit found it..Harbourfront rink here we come.** Have a great day all. How did the scotch taster go @ Wes's place?

Well that's good, I froze my ass off at CM. The drivers were unusually pissed as well. Never seen that much yelling out of cars.

Thanks guys, I am glad I am okay too
I should probably run a front brake for emergencys like this, how is fixed with a brake? It still takes longer to stop right? It would just for a control thing I am guessing.
