I think Jit is going to be the new Nathan Fabian.

cavit8 03-12-07 11:21 AM

Actually I do get a little blurb which says:
jit5 This message is hidden because jit5 is on your ignore list. Which is not better than nothing, but better than wasting precious seconds reading inflammatory or imbecilic comments

I love Parkdale haters; you just listen to the bad things they have to say about Parkdale, smile once they are done and walk away.

I say go for it old man. Might make you sweat off some of that lard. Bonus points for wearing your full team kit and huffing away on your granny gear.

edit: Has anyone tried running a 7 speed downtube shifter with a 9 speed cassette? I am thinking of picking up a cheap pair as insurance in case my STI brifters die when I am on tour.

Because Leeds St. between Carling Ave. and Roblocke Ave. is not in any of those neighbourhoods.

SamHouston 03-12-07 12:06 PM

And a far cry from Parkdale or Jane & Finch. Look out Shiz, it seems this...person has the mindset of a stalker...

Awesome cry for help there jit5, unheard

that's really good news op.. now you should ask for a little stipend. :p

unrelated: does anyone know where i can score some nitto promenades (the curved, no-rise ones) in toronto? i think urbane sells it for $90-100  so i'd like to avoid that.

As long as you have the appropriate braze-on mounts for D.T. shifters you are good to go. Most current frames only use a cable stop as opposed to a shifter braze-on. Friction will be your friend unless you want to cough up for 9sp D.T.

I just got a new computer at work, and am stoked to see it comes standard with 256 megs of Ram! I'm rocking and rolling now! It's funny how back in the day I was stoked when I had 13 megs, and now I'm complaining I don't get a gig.

cavernmech 03-12-07 12:25 PM

Hey Cam...what choo doin' with those Thule load bars that were on the wagon? I know someone who might like them. Me. I want to get the full "tour" style going with wheels hanging off the sides and whatnot. After that I just need the sweet caravan horn and I am good to go. Let me know if you want to unload them.

Keith, I have downtube shifter bosses. I guess I'll just go with cheap 7 speed ones as they are only meant as an emergency bandaid 'I just broke my shifters' situation. the 9 speed ones are EXPENSIVE!

Speaking of which, I upgraded the ram in my 386dx/25 from 1mb to 4mb so I could play Falcon 3.0 on the highest detail setting the 386 would support. You needed a 486 with a math co-processor to play it at the very highest level. :)

I had a 386 with 13 megs of ram. I rocked.

I will be selling the racks after I get them cleaned up -- they've been on there for nearly seven years and the locks were pretty stiff. I may also have some bike racks to go with them if the ex still has them. I'll get 'em cleaned up and see what they're going for used and I'm sure we can swing a deal.

Sorry Wes, that's what you get for living in the west end.

Sirrobinofcoxly 03-12-07 03:30 PM

Funny you mentioned that, I just lanned Falcon 4.0 with my friend last night. This is the post-leaked source-turned commerical redeveoped version. It's pretty ****ing awesome. I actually bought a copy of Falcon 3.0 from computer city, shrink wrapped with manual for $5 like 10 years ago.

If you want the bottle opener combo then Surly is the only one. If you just need chain tugs I have some for 10 a pair.

haha my housemates are such dorks. We removed most of the interior doors for the sake of circulation, since theres freaking dozens of them. I come home today and they are all back on. I ask why "To lower the heating costs". Why the hell NOW of all times? They also said they turned off the furnace and are using space heaters now. OH JEEZ GREAT GUYS! Now I have to convince them they are wrong, and its going to require printing some sh*t out....

Not sure if other shops have them in stock, but I saw some of the bottle opener tugs today at LaBicicletta. It was either 15 or 20 bucks.
