;) :) Glad to help, let me know how things work out and if there is any part that you cannot track down, feel free to PM me. I want to see that Gardin back on the street as a conversion more than ever now :)

I can’t stop listing to bloc party - silent alarm it’s really good. My wife is going to see depeche mode tomorrow night the opener (she wants revenge) is a new favorite.
P.S. lots of times

Regarding concerts ... I'd love to see a Tool show if it was Aenima/Undertow/Opiate stuff or a Nine Inch Nails show if it was Downward Spiral and back stuff. Slayer sounds like fun but I honestly don't think I'd have the will to survive the pit (unlike Tool or NIN where I would actively go out and kill people as should be done).

You're ****ty. And there's a place selling new syntace stratos bullhorns 42cm for $14 CAD.

eyefloater 05-17-06 09:28 PM

I honestly can't figure out why you're so determined not to shop at any bike shop in Toronto.

operator 05-17-06 09:31 PM

Cause they're 30km away damnit and I can't check their stock online/crappy website and/or don't have what I want and/or ridiculous prices. I don't do ALL My shopping online though.

STEEKER 05-17-06 09:38 PM

The turn out for the silent ride was good CBC was there again and CP24 showed up lilmich was doing skids down the cityhall ramp and track standing all over the place

operator 05-17-06 09:40 PM

STEEKER 05-17-06 09:41 PM

where the frig were you tonight operator you said you were gonna come, what a n00b lawel ;)

It would've been nice if more people came out for the ride tonight, but the turn out wasn't bad on account of the rain.

Thanks again for the coke Steeker, it's always nice meeting new people.

SamHouston 05-18-06 06:31 AM

It was a good turnout considering the thunderstuff earlier. I was feeling a bit antisocial & sick in the belly, almost didn't show but it seemed like a bunch would stay home due to rain so I went anyway. It was close to home. Shin-yum ramen for lunch w/egg didn't like me as much as I liked it, damn cheap lunch can;t be trusted

TRaffic Jammer 05-18-06 06:44 AM

Slayer.....wow dragging their asses from the muck once again?
Stars, I kinda like a couple songs off the disk, same for Metric. Neither disk really really stands out for me.
The whole whoa is me rock thing is getting pretty tired. I guess that's what happens when one gets so ooooold. Broken Social Scene .... let me dl a few tracks.... suggestions?

I'm kinda hoping a good Canadian band with something to say comes. It's been a pretty bleak bunch of years for music when it's so hard to tell who's been percolating under the labels radar or who's the latest cookie cutter band. That is the disadvantage to being older is I'm not in the clubs anymore where one should see these bands when they are small time. Big shows bite. I saw Nirvana with 400 people in a club three months before Smells Like.... broke them out.. amaaaaaaazing show.

eyefloater 05-18-06 07:12 AM

Grab the first few tracks off of You Forgot it in People (2002):

01. Capture the Flag
02. KC Accidental
03. Stars and Sons

We should do a list of of top-ten albums each and go on a music exchange frenzy, or take over the "what are you listening to?" thread in the main forum. I actually enjoy getting peoples' opinions on new music (even though I'm just a tad belligerant sometimes).

Edit: maybe not top-ten albums, because that becomes too complicated ... just a list of some albums you've been listening to lately that are worth hearing.
