well if you're going to spend more than a couple minutes on it... I have a shortcut on my taskbar to open a new memo letterhead formatted word doc. I have even printed out a thread on scrap paper before.

Usually if I check the forum at work, it's bike related anyhow, so no big deal.
Boss// "Hey, what are you doing?"
ME// "Looking up bike stuff"
Boss// "Well done. Here's a raise!"

print media has been active in its current form for something like 700 years. since martin luther published his first bible. primative? yes. still relevant? yes. i don't think the printed word is going anywhere.

EDIT: i like bikes (that's for you wes).

Happy birthday to operator.... gods, I'm old enough to be your dad! (shudders)....

oh.... and son of a ***** must pay.... (I'm watching Big Trouble in Little China - my favourite line)

The rest of the movie is sucking pretty bad (never watch a movie you have fond memories of), but that line is better than make my day.

Nothing wrong with print media....its the publishers of print media that are the problem for the most part.
I also enjoy two wheeled, non-motorized vehicles.
I miss Frank Magazine.

what are you talking about, canadian journalism depends on conflicting interests between editors and publishers to keep things interesting. eg: drunkards like the walrus' editor-and-defacto-publisher ken alexander to mix it up with his psychotic tirades and surreptious rewrites that lord over the entire magazine! wait, maybe i wasn't supposed to say that... read the ryerson review of journalism spring issue, there will be more delightful anecdotes on this guy

media conglomerates are scary. it took me until last week to finally see outfoxed, about fox news, and was totally floored. while i don't think the situation here is quite as bad (god bless the saving graces of public media outlets like the cbc), we have our own monopolies. for example... canwest owns three of the top newspaper dailies in BC: the vancouver sun, the vancouver province, and the victoria times-colonist. and a myriad of smaller ones

It is a chilly night with the wind out there. But the wind is good in dispersing my wind. Too much homemade 6 bean salad with roasted garlic, bacon, avacado and corn is dangerous. Tasty though.

after the first dumping of snow i floped my flip flop hub over to the 42x18 and quite like it, spinny or no. i have to agree though, if you like to ride fast the 16t should do you well, it's about a 71" gear. actually probably less if you're running a wide tire on 650c.

finally finished the winter bike. not much to look at but i think it'll get the job done. i don't think my urbanite will last with winter being locked up outside all day.
