So today I came home and checked my mail. I got a sample of a new paper called "Women's Post". In the top right corner it actually says "Because the news is emotional"!!!!!! This is just so laughably ignorant and off the mark! I can't believe the hilarity of this. It also says that it is geared for the "working professional". Too bad most educated women would be pretty offended by the paternally stereotypical credo of the paper. Not to mention the watered down quality of the articles. This just so stupid/hilarious! I have this image in my head of all these fat cats sitting around a table wearing suits/smoking cigars and thinking they are so smart for really getting inside the heads of women in this new paper that is clearly going to be so successful. This is GOLD. Here's a pic (it's blurry and crappy quality but meh):

Phoenix? Not exactly a march break hotspot. There is not much I can do for you there, charters are the only cheap flights during march break and they don't tend to be heading to Phoenix. If you want to go to Mexico/Carribean/Florida then I could help. I assume you've checked www.selloffvacations.com and talked to travelcuts, if you haven't you should. Outside of that call a real travel agent and ask them about charters sometimes you get lucky.

I've been hoarding those lately since my winter and mtb shoes fit them. He wants 30 bucks for each pair... just an OK deal IMO.

If it was 30 bucks for all three they'd have been gone already! (was planning to grab them on the weekend)

Oh beh. I was considering it until I saw brads post. Ugh I hate nightmares.

P.S Does anyone have a set of narrow 26" wheelset or a 700c wheelset they want to part with? I need something beaterish for my beater. 7 speed / Fixed / Single is a-ok.

If you are going to buy one of those pairs take the grey ones......waaayyyy better cleat retention than the new style.

The plastic ones? I've got a few sets of the aluminum ones (including a nice red set zippered bought me for my birthday that just happens to match my bike perfectly!) and I've been happy with them. Very reliable and easy to get into.

Time Road pedals on the other hand suck big time. (at least the "impact" ones do!)

If someone wants to talk him down to $60 for all three sets I'll go in on a set for 20

Yeah...the old style plastic ones. I have had both generation's and the older style ones win hands down. I used to do skid competitions with the old style ones....I wouldn't trust the new style for that type of thing....actually after cranking the tension up to full on my ATAC XC's and coming unclipped the first time I tried to lock up I don't ride them on my fixies for street. The old ones lasted me 5+ years....my new ones have a crapload of play in the retention bars after 2 years. Same cleat.
I will go in with ya but only if I get the old ones.

the listing gives the impression that it's 30 bucks for all three pairs. did you email him to confirm?

hmmm... never tried the old ones, but I think they have 2 bearings as well instead of the bushing/bearing combo in the aluminum ones Do they use the same cleats?

Anyhow... that makes 2 and if you're interested TJ let me know and I'll try and talk him down and make th pickup if he's game.
