Yeah, I thought the same too but it's definitely per pair. Otherwise they'd already be in my house!

I'm in man ....even at 30bones..i just won't have the cash for a week or so.

I_bRAD 02-27-07 09:18 AM

Ok.. I'll email him when I get home this evening and see what he says.

[QUOTE=I_bRAD]hmmm... never tried the old ones, but I think they have 2 bearings as well instead of the bushing/bearing combo in the aluminum ones :) Do they use the same cleats?
[QUOTE]
yeah..they have a cartridge on the crank side and a needle at the outside. Wait....I mean they suck. Dont get those or you will regret it. Terrible pedals. :D

edit: ahh..kinda confusing. keith's "filer" is referring to jay filer of winterbourne cycles.. not sure why he didn't call it keith's winterbourne.

carry on....

For the record I have had a Digi Cam for quite a while now. Actually using it and uploading the pics on the other hand...total noob.

i've had a couple pairs in the past, i wouldn't call them terrible. come to think of it, i've had some cleat release issues, but at least the bearings aren't as bad as the crank brother's nonsense.

Nearly 2.5 years. You come in often? I bet half of you guys live in the house next to mine and I wouldn't even know it.

I seem to remember Bikes on Wheels in the market having some, but I would call first to confirm. I'm sure they would be happy to get rid of them if they do. No one is buying ATACs at BOW.

pretty sure i've picked some up at urbane or la carrera before they moved. i don't know about those museum-piece cleats you're rocking though. don't think they make them like that anymore.

the one thing i will say about duke's is that they always have the high end replacement parts that are hard to find anywhere else (like cleats or rebuild kits for egg beaters).

okay, i have a foggy memory then. i was in a while ago to buy some cork grips. thrilled to see that you're carrying stuff like that now through QBP. you used to only be able to get them through the mail order guys like rivendell or momovelo.

yo shamil - i need some hip hop recommendations. i'm getting bored of my playlist. so far, i'm working on mos def, k-os, talib kwali (sp), k'naan, de la soul, etc. what's good?

You'll pay for it though! I needed an XTR/Ultegra BB tool last spring and they quoted me 50bucks. got the same one in two days (Dukes would have had to order it as well) from sweet petes for less than half of that.

Both are about the same distance from my house. To be fair, when my Litespeed broke last summer they were VERY helpful getting it worked out for the warranty. Didn't even charge me for shipping- even when I sent it back a second time 'cause I wasn't satisfied with the repair. :)

I had to go with new shoes ultimately as the non-proprietary cleats didn't even fit the Time shoes I had.... talk about using gear far longer than it's functional design. I think they changed the design to SPD compatible with a year or two....I of, course had to ride those shoes for like another eight years before NEEDING to change the cleats... I guess a bloody great solid hunk of brass 1/2 an inch think, was a little too tough, and maaaaybe not quite designed-for-obsolescence enough for Time's accounting dept.

Me too. Much too low rent.

And you have to deal with the 'Queen Street' types.

Uptown at La Bicicletta is a much more gratifying shopping environment.

Check a few posts back....my bashing was sarcastic hyperbole meant to disuade Brad from taking them so I could get my grimy little paws on them. I have been riding ATACs since the first gen TWT style. As clipless go....and as I have said clipless fixed is not my cup-o-tea....ATAC FTW!
